Martha and Michael’s Sarasota wedding embodied rustic elements reflective of their relaxed lifestyle along with chic details to elevate their hometown celebration.
To complement their fall date, the Bradenton couple chose an autumnal color palette of saturated wine hues and elegant pops of gold.
“Our wedding theme was rustic/chic. I chose it because of the outdoor setting and our personalities. We are both extremely down to earth people and love to relax and have fun,” the bride explained. “I chose Bordeaux color for the bridesmaid dresses and gold sparkle for the maid of honor dress. It was a November wedding, and I was trying to stay in the fall colors.”
Coupled with social media and referrals from friends, Martha turned to Marry Me Tampa Bay for research and feedback.
“I used Marry Me Tampa Bay to find venues and vendors and read reviews,” Martha stated.
The bride envisioned a warm palette echoed throughout unique floral arrangements for their big day, and upon meeting Brides N Blooms Wholesale and Designs, she knew their team would be the right choice.
“I wanted something different and not all bouquets to looks the same. Brides N Blooms had all the flowers that I wanted and did an amazing job,” Martha raved. “We saw their photos online, and once we met they gave us even better suggestions we just knew they were the perfect fit and understood everything we wanted.”

The outdoor courtyard wedding reception featured string lights, wooden French country chairs, a mix of round and exposed farm tables, and elegant greenery with pops of red to complete the bride’s rustic chic inspiration.
Martha admitted that the wedding day truly does fly by quicker than expected, and shared that she’ll never forget seeing her groom for the first time.
“The most memorable moment was our first look and walking down the aisle towards Michael and my father giving me away,” Martha recalled.

The Proposal:
We woke up early that morning, and Michael asked if we wanted to take the dog for a walk to De Soto Park in Bradenton. Along the walk, while he was behind me, Michael knelt down on one knee. As I turned around, he said, “there’s no one else I would rather spend my life with. Will you marry me?” I said yes shaking and crying.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
