Rustic weddings have been a favorite of Tampa Bay couples for years, and barn weddings have evolved from baby’s breath and mason jars to elegant designs with chic elements.
“When couples think of a barn, they naturally thing outdoorsy or rustic, but it was important to tie in decor and details that evoked a different meaning. Adding in a little bit of romance here and there was the ultimate way to nail a barn wedding with a bit of flair,” Riley Gersch, Owner of Elegant Affairs by Design explained. “After the addition of stunning chandeliers and a fresh set of grey paint, The Barn at Crescent Lake is the fairytale backdrop for any type of wedding.”

With a geometrical wooden ceremony backdrop dripping with pastel flowers set against the Crescent Lake in North Tampa, Riley and florist Ever After Vintage Weddings created a garden-like setting with a rustic meets vintage ambiance. The neutral color palette continued into the reception, which incorporated pops of color with vintage blue stemware and table linens.
“I opted for a dusty blue and dusty rose pairing with an abundance of greenery to truly capture the vision I was going for,” Riley shared. “Combining the soft color palette with lush greenery brought to life a refreshing and romantic take on a spring or fall wedding.”

“The shoot was even more special because our models were a real couple,” Riley shared. “Because they already share that natural bond, the talented Amanda Zabrocki Photography and Lens Culture Photography were able to capture the most meaningful moments. All Brides 2 Be Bridal was also a huge help and assisted in dressing the couple, while Krista Worth Makeup gave the bride a natural look that had her glowing. At the end of the day, all of the vendors came together to make the shoot, and I couldn’t have pulled it off without them!”
