Callie and Patrick
Sunken Gardens
“We aimed for soft and timeless. We wanted the beautiful venue greenery to steal the show! We chose mostly white and ivory tones to complement the scenery of Sunken Gardens.” -The Bride

Callie and Patrick’s downtown St. Pete wedding combined classic white roses and baby’s breath flora with neutral decor amidst a lush garden setting. The pair exchanged vows in an outdoor ceremony surrounded by native blooms before dining and dancing under a clear tent adorned with bistro lights and romantic candlelight.
“We actually replanned the entire wedding in less than two weeks after our original venue was hit by hurricanes Helene and Milton! It was a miracle that it all came together and ended up even better than our original plan!” the bride revealed. “We are so thankful for all of our local vendors who worked together to find a way to make our day happen. My mother-in-law even had funny cookies created to remember the chaos of the hurricanes!”

Hair and Makeup Inspiration
Femme Akoi Beauty Studio
“For hair and makeup I wanted to look as fresh, youthful, and as much like my normal self as possible! My exact quote to the stylist was ‘I want to look like a girl from a Neutrogena commercial’.
Femme Akoi Beauty Studio was fantastic to work with and took extra time to make sure my vision was fully captured!”

The Proposal
“Patrick proposed on an evening walk with our dog through our favorite part of the neighborhood, and then surprised me with all of our closet friends waiting at a nearby bar!”

The Photography

Lifelong Photography Studio
“We wanted someone with a classic style and experience shooting outdoors!
We loved the bright and crisp style of Lifelong Photography Studio. They were also so fun to work with and made the process enjoyable.”

The Honeymoon and Bach Party
“I had a stay-cation bachelorette party in Fort Worth, TX with my best friends! It was sentimental to be back in our college town and was convenient my two pregnant friends.
For our honeymoon, we chose Kauai for its perfect mix of relaxation and adventure! We split our days between laying at the pool and exploring the island via helicopter, hike, and zip line.”

The Design & Inspo
“We aimed for soft and timeless. We wanted the beautiful venue greenery to steal the show! We chose mostly white and ivory tones to complement the scenery of Sunken Gardens.”

The Catering

Amici’s Catered Cuisine
“After the hurricanes we had to quickly pivot to a new venue and caterer.
Amici’s Catered Cuisine came to our rescue; they were great and worked super quickly to pull our menu together with the Chef’s guidance. The staff was also fantastic; we really appreciated them!”

The Experience
“It was so sweet to spend some time quality together the morning of the wedding. Patrick made a quick escape from the hotel in the morning to find me a breakfast burrito. He ended up having to go into the local hospital cafe to find one!
The most important aspect was having time to connect with our friends and family. We ensured that we had plenty of time to attend our cocktail hour and opted to have a large wedding party table instead of a sweetheart table.
We opted to have Cold Stone Creamy ice cream catered as a mid-reception treat! We also gave out custom golf balls with our dog’s picture on them since we weren’t able to fly her in for the event.”
