Romantic Tampa Bay Ballroom Wedding | Safety Harbor Resort and Spa Wedding
Rachel and Cesar’s Safety Harbor wedding featured an elegant and romantic theme with a color palette of blush, ivory, navy and gold.
“I wanted soft colors, garden roses and lots of candlelight. I thought the combination was beautiful and the venue was the perfect setting for a wedding,” the bride shared. “I grew up in the Safety Harbor area and have always loved the city. It is a beautiful and charming place, and I couldn’t have picked a better city for our wedding.”
Searching for their dream Tampa Bay wedding venue that offered the convenience of not only hosting guests in the hotel, but that also included a fabulous reception space, the couple chose the Safety Harbor Resort and Spa.
“The first time we walked into the ballroom at Safety Harbor Resort and Spa Cesar told me this is where he wanted to get married. It was beautiful and unique, it is so much more then a typical hotel ballroom,” Rachel gushed. “Safety Harbor Resort offered everything we were looking for in a venue. The service was incredible, the staff was friendly and professional, and they went above and beyond for us on our special day.”
Knowing that trust and experience were ever important in finding a professional Tampa Bay wedding planner, the bride hired Special Moments Event Planning because of their great reputation.
“I had friends who had worked with Tammy [of Special Moments Event Planning] and highly recommended her. After, meeting Tammy, I knew that she would make sure that my wedding would be exactly what I envisioned,” Rachel beamed. “Their service was great. During the planning process, they were always available to help and provided me with all the resources I needed. I didn’t have to worry about a single thing on my wedding day; it ran flawlessly.”

Of course no wedding is complete without delicious cake! The couple opted for both a gorgeous cake and a custom popcorn bar by Tampa Bay wedding cake bakery A Piece of Cake and Desserts.
“The cake was amazing, beautiful and so delicious,” Rachel shared. “We also used A Piece of Cake for our gourmet popcorn bar and cookie favors. The popcorn bar was one of my favorite things, and they make hundreds of flavors to pick from. Everything we ordered tasted delicious!”
Looking back, the bride’s most cherished wedding day moment included the couple’s “I do’s.”
“Our ceremony was definitely one of the most memorable moments. The ceremony was intimate and beautiful, and we both shared laughs and happy tears,” Rachel reminisced.

What were your colors?
Blush, ivory, navy and gold. My favorite colors are pink and gold, so I knew I wanted them to be a big part of my wedding. My husband likes navy and it complemented the other colors very well.

The Proposal:
The proposal was a complete surprise that I was not expecting it at all! One of our friends is a photographer and asked us and a few of our friends if we would take pictures for his portfolio. It was on a Tuesday, so after work we met in Plant City to take the photos. After about an hour of taking pictures in a beautiful blueberry field, we all went back to the barn. As I was posing for one last picture, Cesar got down on he knee and asked me to marry him!

A rental company that we could trust and had a good reputation.
Our wedding planner recommended Signature Event Rentals. We rented gold chiavari chairs. They were reliable and on time.
