Alayna and Ryan’s Clearwater Beach wedding was an elegant evening adorned with shades of mauve and dusty rose accented with gold and navy blue. Set against a backdrop of the Gulf of Mexico, the outdoor ceremony and beachfront portraits highlighted Florida’s beautiful scenery.
“I really love the beach, but I also did not want it to be directly on the beach, so I had the best of both worlds, being on the patio of the Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach just steps away from the sand. The palm trees in the background just made it very ‘Floridian’ and elegant feeling all at the same time,” the bride beamed. “Our colors were shades of mauve with gold accents. We chose these colors because it was fall but also in Florida, so we thought it was a good mix between fall, Florida, and beach.”
Alayna and Ryan’s nuptials offered a beautiful coastal setting without the sandy toes. Their courtyard ceremony featured ocean breezes and the sound of crashing waves in an intimate setting.
“The most important element of our wedding would have to be the ceremony space. I wanted to make sure that special moment was going to be as beautiful as I could possibly make it. We wanted a beachy area for our guests, but not an actual on-the-sand beach wedding. The Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach had the best of both worlds with its patio concept overlooking the beautiful palm trees,” the bride beamed. “The Wyndham was exceptionally amazing when planning the wedding. From the start, Wendy Barrata, the sales manager, really hit the ground running and always was available when I had questions or needed information. The property was very nice; the rooms were amazing, overlooking the beach, pool, and Intracoastal. The hotel staff were very attentive from start to finish. We had zero complaints.”
The Deland couple celebrated their I do’s with sunset photos on Clearwater’s award-winning beach.
“We chose Clearwater Beach for our wedding because it is one of our favorite destinations in Florida. We did do our post-ceremony portraits out on the beach, and they are some of my favorite photos,” Alayna gushed.
The newlyweds channeled their wedding vision into a romantic ballroom setting for their 140 guests. Gold charger plates and table numbers added a touch of sparkle and warmth amidst the soft blush and white flora and linens. Adding a more intimate and elegant setting, Outside the Box Event Rentals provided the pipe and drape.
It was the quality time with their parents and wedding party members that the bride and groom will forever remember as stand-out moments from the day.
“The most memorable moments were definitely getting ready with all of our special people, from the bridesmaids, mother of the bride and mother of the groom, to the groomsmen with the father of the bride and father of the groom. We will forever cherish those little memories before the big moment,” Alayna reminisced.
The Proposal:
Ryan proposed under fireworks at one of our favorite beaches, New Smyrna, with some of our friends and family.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
