Tiffany and Michael’s downtown St. Pete wedding was a sophisticated affair that lovingly included the bride’s seven-year-old son. Shades of dusty and slate blue were paired with soft tones of gray and white to create a romantic ambiance that ended the night with a stunning sparkler exit.
“We didn’t really have a theme. I just picked colors I liked and wanted to make it simple but classy. I chose things that I loved and made it our own,” the bride explained. “I wanted it to be about our love for each other and having my son be a part of the wedding as well.”
Although a summer rainstorm popped up in the middle of their wedding day, the amazing vendor team pulled through to deliver a phenomenal experience.
“Everyone we used was great! NOVA 535 and our photographer were fantastic,” the bride gushed. “It ended up raining right before my husband and I got pictures outside which of course I was looking forward to getting, but they made it work and we still got great pictures.”
During their search for the perfect downtown St. Pete wedding venue on Marry Me Tampa Bay, the bride and groom instantly fell in love with the unique aesthetic and personalized service at NOVA 535.
“We wanted a nice atmosphere and something semi-local. We were also looking for a spot where all of our out-of-town guests had things to do because a lot were flying in,” Tiffany shared. “The minute we walked into NOVA 535 we knew it was the place! It had such a great vibe! The whole staff was great from start to finish. We worked with Ruby, and she always got back to us quickly and answered any questions we had. We would, and have, recommended this place to others.”
The Westchase couple included their personal favorites into their wedding menu with passed Hor d’oeuvres of Japanese Potstickers, Tomato Bruschetta, and Crabmeat Stuffed mushrooms. Their 100 wedding guests raved about Olympia Catering’s Signature Chicken that was served with fresh rosemary roasted potatoes and fettuccine pasta.
“We didn’t really have any food inspiration. We just wanted to make sure the food was good and our guests had a great dinner with options,” the bride explained. “Olympia Catering was on a preferred vendor list from the venue. We met with them and liked the food so we chose them. We got a ton of compliments at the wedding about the food!”
As Tiffany looked back on her wedding day, it was the moments between the two most important men in her life that left the sweetest memories.
My first look with my son and then my first look with the groom,” Tiffany reminisced. “Also, the first dance when my seven-year-old son joined in at the end, and I didn’t know my husband and he had planned that. I was told the whole place teared up, as well as myself!”

The Proposal:
I have a seven-year-old son. He planned for us to go ice skating downtown at Curtis Hixon Park. After ice skating, we went by the water, and Michael got down on one knee and asked permission from my son to marry me and then pulled out the ring and asked me. It was the sweetest moment ever!
