Looking for a venue in downtown St. Pete that would capture industrial yet classic design, Kelsy and Kole chose NOVA 535 for their perfect location and knowledgeable staff.
“From the bamboo covered courtyard to the exposed brick interior, we loved everything NOVA 535 had to offer. The fact that we’d have the place to ourselves and not have to worry about anyone randomly walking through was also a big plus in our books,” the bride gushed. “They really had everything we needed. From a DJ to a coordinator to even bartenders, they had it covered. I’d recommend NOVA 535 to anyone looking for a gorgeous venue with a team that works tirelessly to provide stress-free wedding planning experience!”

Wanting to give their guests a wide variety of delicious food to choose from, Kelsy and Kole enlisted the help of St. Pete wedding caterer Olympia Catering to provide an elevated dining experience.
“I’m a picky eater so I wanted to give my guests the option to adjust their meal how they wanted. Instead of choosing a buffet style setup, we went with chef-led stations that provided a way to pick and choose, but still allowed for additions or substitutions without the guilt that can come from being a picky eater,” the bride shared. “Olympia was professional, easy to communicate with, and the food was delicious! I keep getting comments to this day on how much our guests enjoyed their food. We even had a few guests with dietary restrictions and the chefs were happy to accommodate. I’d recommend them to any bride!”

When choosing a wedding cake design, the bride was adamant about one particular detail.
“I wanted something very natural and simple to complement the setting and was completely against using fondant. I searched Pinterest and found a photo of the cake I had envisioned; it even had small buttons along the base to match the buttons on the back of my dress, which I loved! To add some detail, I asked the florist to add some of our accent flowers to cascade down the front,” the bride shared. “I absolutely loved the cake from Olympia Catering. It was very classic with white cake and pink raspberry filling. We also had chocolate mousse shooters for the chocolate lovers!”
Reminiscing of the day they tied the knot, Kelsy and Kole will never forget the moment they finally got to see each other on their special day.
“Our favorite moment would probably have to be our first look. We were both so anxious at the time and finally getting to see each other reminded us exactly why we were going through all the steps in the first place,” the bride blushed. “I’ll never forget seeing him and the emotion on his face.”

How would you describe your theme?
I chose a classic yet romantic theme and royal blue suits for Kole and his best man because they both have beautiful blue eyes. I just loved the thought of the boys in blue and the girls in pink with tons of whimsical floral scattered about.
What were your colors?
Our color palette was royal blue, blush pink and white with a good mix of greenery in the flowers. When selecting our colors we kept in mind the style of our venue and envisioned what specifically would make our bridal party pop. My sister, who was my maid of honor, looks great in pink and the men looked amazing in blue to accent their eyes.
The Proposal:
Kole asked me to be his wife on the White Cliffs of the Seven Sisters in South England.
What was your wedding menu inspiration?
I’m a picky eater so I wanted to give my guests the option to adjust their meal how they wanted. Instead of choosing a buffet style setup, we went with chef-led stations that provided a way for pick and choose what you want, but still allowed for additions or substitutions without the guilt that can come from being a picky eater. I had to have crab cakes to honor my home state, Maryland.
