Lilly Pulitzer Inspired Sarasota Wedding | Longboat Key Club Wedding
Stephanie and Matthew’s Sarasota wedding featured bright tropical colors and a gorgeous beachfront setting to complement their Lilly Pulitzer inspired color palette.
“I would describe our theme as a little southern charm, tropical vibe and Lilly Pulitzer all rolled into one!” the bride beamed. “We are both really relaxed and love bright colors, having fun and nice things.”
The Dublin, Ohio couple chose Sarasota for their destination Florida wedding as they have visited Longboat Key numerous times for family vacations, and it’s the location in which the groom proposed.
“We come to the Sarasota area often, about once every two months or so, it’s essentially our second home,” Stephanie shared. “We love the beach and the outdoors, so it was only natural to have a beach wedding.”

Photography was a priority to the couple, therefore they searched for a Sarasota wedding photographer with experience and an artistic eye to capture every vibrant detail of their lush tropical wedding day.
“I was looking for the best photographers there were. Pictures were really important to me! We wanted photographers who had their own awesome ideas and nice concepts,” the bride explained. “I hired Limelight Photography after reading hundreds of reviews. Rebecca was the sweetest, and they always got back to me right away!”

Looking back, the bride’s most cherished memory was taking her much-anticipated walk down the aisle.
“My most memorable moment was walking down the aisle. The ceremony was set up beautifully, and the weather was really nice,” Stephanie reminisced.
The Proposal:
Matt proposed on the beach behind his family’s condo on Longboat Key, at the end of a pier.
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
I was looking for the best photographers there were. Pictures were really important to me! Someone with a lot of experience and an artistic eye. Photographers who had their own awesome ideas and nice concepts. People that I could trust to do their own thing, that was organized and friendly too! I hired Limelight Photography after reading hundreds of reviews. Michael was so fun and nice on the phone, I felt like I was there in person. Rebecca was the sweetest and they always got back to me right away! Matt and I live on a farm and they enjoy the same type of lifestyle so it made it really nice!
How would you describe your theme?
A little southern charm, tropical vibe and Lilly Pulitzer all rolled into one!
What were your colors?
We had a bunch of colors going on with the Lilly Pulitzer prints, but our main colors were pink (my favorite) and green (Matt’s favorite).
