Jenny and Todd
Museum of the American Arts & Crafts Movement
“We decided on a chartreuse and green color palette with white florals and greenery with minimal pops of deep purple as an accent color. Overall, the design itself was simple but elevated. Everything was chosen with intention, from the dinnerware to the drink stirrers and her dog, Thor’s, bowtie collar.”

Jenny and Todd’s downtown St. Pete wedding was a chic September celebration filled with delicate draping, lush seating, and striking flora. The local bride and groom hosted their 198 guests in a modern art museum, with a stunning spiral staircase framing their ceremony chuppah and fresh green tones appearing throughout the table linens, furniture groupings, and ikibana-style centerpieces.
“This was a second marriage for us, and we wanted a grand party with lots of food and friends and family/ We wanted to be at all the events, so we attended the cocktail party before our ceremony, too,” the bride shared. “Our wedding was unique because so many people commented on the outpouring of love and warmth they felt by not only Todd and me but also our adult children. It was a wonderful celebration of love and friends.”

The Proposal
“We were in Durango, Colorado, where we have a home, skiing with my children, and Todd proposed on the mountain. He did not tell my kids, so we were all quite surprised. I love that he asked me to marry him with my kids there. That was such a thoughtful gesture on his part.”

From The Planner
“I loved how intentional Jenny and Todd were about making their wedding truly reflect who they are and what they love. Every choice felt personal, from the food they served to including their dog, Thor, in the ceremony. They were present during the welcome cocktail hour, greeting guests and soaking in the moment, which set such a warm and inviting tone for the day. They also made a conscious effort to keep post-ceremony photos minimal so they could join the celebration sooner, prioritizing time with their guests and fully enjoying the party.
Their wedding started with a welcome cocktail hour before the ceremony instead of the traditional post-ceremony format. This gave guests a chance to mingle and settle in right from the start. After the ceremony, everyone made their way upstairs to a cocktail-style reception, keeping the flow of the evening seamless and relaxed. Because of this unique timeline, the reception space had to be completely set and ready to go as soon as the ceremony ended. Without a traditional cocktail hour in between, there wasn’t time to repurpose ceremony florals or chairs. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and fully in place ahead of time, allowing guests to move effortlessly into the celebration.”

The Planning
Stelloccasions
“We were looking for a planner who listened first and foremost and then took our words and vision and made them come to life.
Stelloccasions was amazing to work with. Crysta Miller and her team left no stone unturned. She was thorough, organized, and fantastic to work with.”

The Experience
“We wanted lots and lots of food, a great selection of alcohol, and comfy seating, all of which was achieved by SaltBlock Hospitality, Revel Co., and our planner, Stelloccasions.
One of my favorite moments was seeing my bouquet purse. It was remarkable. Another great moment was when our springer-doodle, Thor, came down the aisle with our rings. We loved it when No Filter Band did their drumming. That was awesome!”

The Design
“Jenny and Todd were fairly uncertain about how they wanted their wedding to look. Luckily, Jenny’s daughter, Leah, who works in the fashion industry, knew exactly what her mom would like. She put together a Pinterest board that her mom loved. We went through those photos and were able to pinpoint certain elements that Jenny did and didn’t like. From there, we decided on a chartreuse and green color palette with white florals and greenery with minimal pops of deep purple as an accent color.
All of the table linens were sourced from Reverie Social and were personally selected by Jenny and Todd after we sent them multiple samples. I worked to incorporate each of their linen selections into different areas of the reception. These linen designs were also used for their welcome party the night before at the St. Petersburg Yacht Club, which created a cohesive look for the weekend. Overall, the design itself was simple but elevated. Everything was chosen with intention, from the dinnerware to the drink stirrers and her dog, Thor’s, bowtie collar.
Jenny and Todd also donated all of their florals after the wedding to Random Acts of Flowers, which repurposes event flowers into arrangements and delivers them to local nursing homes and rehab facilities. That was an awesome touch.”

The Rentals

Kate Ryan Event Rentals
“We used the Antique Washed Louis Chair and the Rattan Louis Barstool for the reception seating from Kate Ryan Event Rentals. These chairs were specifically pointed out in Jenny and Todd’s inspo photos, and I knew that Kate Ryan had them! Since this was a cocktail-style reception, the chairs added to the areas we created – barstool seating around the bar and bistro-style seating lining the dance floor. Working with them is always a pleasure, and I was so happy to have them on the vendor team for this wedding day.”

The Bach Party & Honeymoon
” I did not have a bachelorette party, but Todd had a bachelor party in Lexington, KY, doing the bourbon trail. My sons, Jacob and Dom, planned it.
We went on a Mediterranean cruise to Italy, France, and Spain. We actually planned that trip before we got engaged, so we decided to call it our honeymoon.”
