Luxurious Ballroom Wedding | Vinoy Renaissance Wedding
Kallie and Joshua’s downtown St. Pete wedding featured a classic color palette and luxurious ballroom reception.
“I knew I wanted a traditional style wedding, but we also wanted to incorporate colors that would give it the classy, romantic, and elegant feel to match the venue,” the bride explained. “We chose navy, blush, whites and hints of gold. Navy is one of our favorite colors, and it went great with the fall wedding.”
The Clearwater couple wanted to hold their wedding close to home and searched for a luxurious ballroom venue.
“We chose our venue location because it was simply the most beautiful choice around. We couldn’t find anywhere truly comparative. The Vinoy Renaissance has the magical ballroom feel along with the elegant decor,” Kallie gushed. “The beauty within the original detailed architecture and the Chihuly chandelier over the dance floor really captivated us.”

Wedding photography was a priority to the bride and groom who wanted a St. Petersburg wedding photographer who could capture all the important moments, but to also blend in with the crowd.
“We looked for a wedding photographer who would be able to take the best pictures and candid shots,” Kallie explained. “After hearing how wonderful they were, I met with Michael Zoumberos, owner of Limelight Photography. I immediately knew that he and his wife, Rebecca, would do an outstanding job. They truly gave me the gift of the most magnificent wedding pictures that I will always have to look back on. We were more than thrilled with how everything turned out.”

To make her wedding reflective of her personality, the bride incorporated her Greek orthodox hertiage into the ceremony and reception traditions.
“If you have ever seen the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding, my life relates a lot,” Kallie shared. “With that being said, most of my friends are not Greek. So with all the Greek music playing the whole night, it was fun to see my American friends have such a fun time dancing and participating in my culture.
Looking back, one of the bride’s most memorable moments occurred while her husband removed her garter.
“I think he thought he was Channing Tatum in Magic Mike!” Kallie joked.
The Proposal:
Joshua popped the question on August 1. We were on our annual summer vacation in Greece and visiting the island of Skiathos looking over the most beautiful mountain, watching the sunset. It was truly a dream come true.

How would you describe your theme?
Honestly, I had no specific theme. I knew I wanted a traditional wedding, but we also wanted to incorporate colors that would give it a classy, romantic, and elegant feel to match the venue.
What were your colors?
Navy, blush, whites and hints of gold. Navy is one of our favorite colors, and it went great with the fall wedding. The other colors were additional accents.
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We chose our venue location because it was simply the most beautiful choice around. We went to many places around the area before choosing the Vinoy Renaissance. We couldn’t find anywhere truly comparative. It has the magical ballroom feel along with the elegant decor. Chris Starman was absolutely wonderful, and I knew that the service would be exceptional after speaking with him. Turned out I was right! They went above and beyond. The crew did an outstanding job accommodating us before and on our big day.
What was your rental inspiration?
When renting, I try to find the most reputable company. Also, budget played an important role. When picking my vendors, I want to be able to trust that they would deliver to my expectations or beyond that.
A Chair Affair delivered outstanding product, and they were punctual with everything they did. They had a reasonable delivery/pickup fee and had a beautiful variety to choose from, which was nice. I would recommend them to anyone!
