Kailah and Greg’s Clearwater Beach wedding dazzled with vintage travel-inspired decor, earthy elements, and pops of jewel tones.
“I have always loved the beach and knew I wanted to get married with the sand in my toes. I didn’t want to do a typical beach themed wedding so we incorporated elements of what we enjoy,” the bride shared. “Purple is my favorite color, but I wanted a little more of a pinkish-purple jewel tone. For the details, we wanted to incorporate a little bit of a travel theme with Earthy elements of driftwood, succulents, rose quartz, amethysts, and agate slices.”
With her vision to be married oceanside, Kailah turned to beachfront wedding venue the Hilton Clearwater Beach for their prime location and experience in the industry.
“We were completely in love with how great the Hilton Clearwater Beach was,” the bride gushed. “Aside from location, we were really thrilled at how many things the wedding package included. From the amazing food to the always friendly service from the staff, we were satisfied. We even received tons of compliments after on how beautiful the venue was and how great the food and service of the staff was!”

Looking to keep her hair down with soft beachy curls, but really make her eyes pop with dramatic makeup, Kailah searched for a glam squad who had skill and experience.
“After looking at their portfolio and following them on social media, I knew Femme Akoi Beauty Studio had the skill and knowledge to nail exactly the look I was going for,” the bride beamed. “I wanted my hair to be something less elegant and more beachy to go with the theme. For makeup, I wanted something dramatic that really brought out my eyes since Greg thinks they’re my best feature. Overall, everything went great! The team was very efficient, and everyone ended up being done way ahead of schedule, which was nice.”

Reminiscing about her special day, the bride couldn’t help but be thankful for how perfectly the day went, and she found a fun way to stay relaxed.
“Everything went by so fast! My favorite part was being able to enjoy how smoothly everything ended up going. I was so nervous leading up to the ceremony that I made all of my bridesmaids do a shot with me to calm my nerves! Looking back, things couldn’t have gone better,” Kailah shared.

What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We wanted something directly located on the beach, especially one that had experience or was known for having weddings. We knew we wanted the Florida gulf and had been to Clearwater before so it was perfect.

The Proposal:
I had just finished an internship in Athens, Greece, and Greg flew out to meet me to start a week-long cruise in the Mediterranean. During our day at sea, we had a couple’s spa day. After our massage, we were served lunch in our private lounge, and Greg proposed in our robes!

What advice do you have for other Tampa Bay couples?
Everything goes by so fast, so make sure you only worry about the things that will make you happy on your big day. Throughout the whole process, I was pretty worry-free since I knew my planner had it under control. However, I’m pretty laid back and knew that things will go wrong, but I don’t sweat the small stuff.
