Krissy and Amir’s Clearwater Beach wedding featured a rooftop ceremony above the sandy beach and turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The intimate affair combined Persian and Irish traditions and took the hues of the sunset to create a romantic color palette.
“We met at sunset, Amir proposed at sunset, so naturally, we married at sunset!” the bride beamed. “My husband is Persian, and I’m from an Irish background, so culturally, we used Persian rugs, lanterns, and a Persian officiant. To honor my Irish side, I styled my hair naturally wavy and hosted dinner with a panoramic ocean view under the stars. I matched the colors of the sunset and seascape and incorporated them into my bouquet, creating the perfect color scheme.”
The South Tampa bride and groom told their love story through their sunset inspiration, and the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach was the perfect ceremony site to take in the beautiful views and ocean breezes. The rooftop ceremony space also gave their guests the feel of the beach and the glamour of the hotel.
“Marry Me Tampa Bay directed me to the venue, whIch was the perfect place for everything!” the bride gushed. “We chose to get married in Clearwater for the beautiful ocean views. The sunset and the culinary experience were two important elements to us, and the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach offered both of those! We chose the venue for the beautiful views, food, and excellent service, especially the wedding coordinator Lizzie. The food was delicious. I still crave my wedding dinner menu! The Hyatt did an overall excellent job!”
Krissy and Amir’s 15 guests watched them exchange vows on a beachfront balcony as the water dazzled in the background. The bride walked down an aisle lined with gold Persian decorations and two large potted snake plants adorned with colorful flowers matching the bouquet.
“Having an intimate wedding allowed me to take everything and everyone in, and most importantly, really enjoy it all,” the bride beamed. “We highly recommend a small and intimate wedding with a unique environment. It creates an atmosphere for everyone. Save the bigger guest list and celebration for a later date!”
Even though the bride and groom chose a small wedding, they hired one of the Hyatt’s preferred wedding planners, Special Moments Event Planning, for their expertise and organization. They understand that a micro wedding doesn’t need to be small on details or personal touches and were able to give Krissy and Amir a memorable celebration.
“We wanted organization and experience. Special Moments Event Planning worked with our venue often,” the bride explained.
The March event was not only intimate and heartfelt, but also every detail enhanced the natural beauty of the award-winning Clearwater Beach backdrop. The bride wore a detailed lace dress with a tasteful neckline to show off her delicate diamond necklace. Her sparkling gold Jimmy Choo wedding shoes and matching clutch went perfectly with the Persian gold touches of the decor. During the reception, the couple’s loved ones sat at one long feasting table adorned with candles, greenery, and soft white and blush flowers. Emotional speeches and tears of love and joy were shed against the beautiful sunset backdrop.
“I’m from Ohio, so it was amazing seeing everyone that I love so much together in one room. It was overwhelmingly wonderful!” the bride reminisced. “Sitting at dinner with 15 of our favorite people was the most meaningful part of the day!”
