Candace and Jaime’s dreamy waterfront downtown Tampa vow renewal wedding celebrated their 25-year love story. The Tampa bride and groom chose a color palette of dusty rose and burgundy to perfectly tie together their intimate gathering of 40 guests.
“The theme for our vow renewal was a romantic French country. We wanted our guests to share in our love for one another, and it was the style we felt most represented us as a couple. We chose our colors as a nod to our original wedding, where we also had burgundy as our primary color,” Candace shared. “Being older and more mature for this ceremony than our original one, we really know ourselves better now and easily gravitated to the style that best suited us.”

Wanting to find a quaint yet intimate venue that would capture their hometown and give guests an opportunity to feel connected to every aspect of their celebration, the bride and groom chose waterfront wedding venue the Yacht StarShip.
“We chose Yacht StarShip because we had been on their ships in the past. We thought that cruising around downtown Tampa, where we live and raised our children, would be the perfect way to renew our vows,” the bride gushed. “Their service was wonderful! All of our guests had a great time, and many of them told us how much they enjoyed the food and the cruise!”

Capturing natural moments was important to the couple, and both Candace and Jaime agreed choosing the right Tampa wedding photographer for their vow renewal was a top priority.
“We wanted a photographer who was able to capture candid moments of us, our friends, and family in a way that reflected the emotions of the day. I chose Lifelong Photography Studios after seeing photos they had taken of other weddings and speaking to their photographer Gabrielle,” the bride explained. “She was a very sweet person who seemed genuinely excited about our ceremony, and I felt a connection to her. Lifelong was a wonderful company to work with, and Gabrielle did an amazing job capturing the special moments of the day!”

To create an intimate yet formal the bride added some pizzaz to her reception with colored changed and sequined linens.
“We chose blush glass chargers for the place settings, and each table had a rose gold sequin runner down the middle. In combination with the ivory chair covers that had a blush band around them, the tables looked elegant and welcoming. Kate Ryan Event Rentals set the perfect backdrop to showcase the florals and accentuate our color scheme,” Candace shared.

Envisioning a beautiful wedding cake that not only turned heads but also tasted amazing, the bride and groom hired St. Pete based bakery The Artistic Whisk.
“I was captivated by the artistry in the cakes I had seen on The Artistic Whisk’s website and Instagram,” Candace beamed. “After doing a tasting with them, we were in love with all of their flavors! The only difficult part was choosing which flavors to use because they were all so delicious!”

Reminiscing on all the moments that made their day unforgettable, the bride will never forget how special it was sharing the day with her loved ones.
“The most memorable moments were reading our handwritten vows to one another and having our two daughters take part in the ceremony as bridesmaids,” the bride reflected. “Every element that went into our day made the ceremony intimate, personal, and unique to us as a family!”

Why did you decide to host a vow renewal?
Like many people, we had been through some difficult times in our marriage and had even separated at one point. However, with marriage counseling, and commitment to working on ourselves and our relationship, we were able to get back together and have a stronger relationship than we had ever had in the past. We knew we wanted to renew our wedding vows and decided that our 25th anniversary was the perfect time to do so.
The Re-Proposal:
My husband re-proposed to me on our 24th anniversary in Maui, Hawaii. He got down on one knee at The Four Seasons Hotel at sunset and asked me to marry him again with a new diamond wedding band, which we incorporated into the vow renewal ceremony.
