With its long pier stretched over the Tampa Bay waterfront, stunning views, and the breathtaking sunsets, The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa is the perfect location for this coastal inspired waterfront Tampa wedding. A color palette of dusty blues, greenery, and off-whites accented this styled wedding shoot with a touch of elegance.
“I wanted to stick to the simplicity of things, especially being on the water, that alone is already a stunning backdrop!” wedding planner Erica Cervantes of the 7th Floor Plan gushed. “The location of The Godfrey, the water overlooking the pier, and the intimate moments of weddings inspired me during this shoot.”

Accented with clear ghost chairs and beautiful fabric draped accents from Gabro Event Rentals, the couple embraced one another in their attire from Tampa Bay wedding dress boutique Truly Forever Bridal. Opting for natural beachy waves and a chic makeup from Michele Renee The Studio, the bride dazzled down the aisle in her form-fitting dress.
Tampa Bay wedding photographer Kristen Marie Photography captured every detail, including those iconic sunset portraits, while Love + Covenant Photography included the movement of the day through videography.

With such a beautiful backdrop, The 7th Floor Plan designed a greenery-filled sunset wedding ceremony with florals by Flower Child Florist. The oversized bride and groom balloons created by Flourish Tampa and coastal blue wedding cake with gold accents by The Artistic Whisk added a whimsical touch.
“The Godfrey offers that setting naturally, so it made easy to just add little minor touches,” Erica shared.
“I love our pier for ceremonies because it allows our couples to have a gorgeous view for their wedding without having to worry about any sand. The sunsets right behind our pergola allowing for breathtaking pictures,” Madison Downs, Social Sales Manager and Wedding Specialist for The Godfrey added.

What was your inspiration for this wedding styled shoot?
The theme was a beachside wedding, and The Godfrey offers that setting naturally, so it made easy to just add little minor touches. The location of the venue, the water overlooking the pier and the overall personal/intimate moments of weddings [inspired me].
What were your colors?
Simple, soft and elegant, dusty blues, greenery, off whites. I wanted to stick to the simplicity of things, especially being on the water, that alone is already a stunning backdrop!
What were your favorite elements of this shoot?
Overlooking the water. The ghost chairs, greenery and overall clean, simple look to it. Sometimes, when you begin to add too much, it takes away from the true meaning of it all.
