Kristin and Daniel’s glamorous downtown Tampa wedding reflected their vision perfectly with a vintage, historical celebration that impressed their friends and family. The bride and groom chose a timeless color palette to set the mood for their classy, upscale soiree.
“We wanted an upscale event and classic,” the bride shared. “We picked black, white and gold to go along with our black tie, vintage, and glamorous theme. The colors with the venue definitely made the vision come true.”

The Tampa natives searched for inspiration online and even gained ideas from Marry Me Tampa Bay’s Instagram account. Specifically searching for a wedding venue that offered a historical, yet glamorous vibe, that offered ceremony and reception options, Kristin and Daniel chose the Le Meridien Tampa.
“When we found Le Meridien, we were thrilled. Each room was unique and different for our guests. It was perfect because it used to be the old courthouse. Many people had been married in the building before it was transformed into the gorgeous hotel it is today. The steps where our ceremony took place was amazing and everything was such a cool experience!” the bride gushed. “Not only were Le Meridien staff extremely accommodating and knowledgeable, but the event coordinator, Brigid, ensured the process was smooth from the beginning to the day of the wedding.”
Aside from a breathtaking venue, Kristin and Daniel knew that providing a DJ who had the whole floor dancing all night was a must.
“We wanted a DJ that really got the entire crowd to have a good time, and Tony Lange of Grant Hemond & Associates did just that,” the bride gleamed. “We had a questionnaire and a few phone calls with Tony where he got to know Danny and myself as a couple. He made sure even on the day of to help with keeping things on track and flowing without a hitch.”

Looking back on their wedding day, the time spent with guests dancing and enjoying their special day was something the couple will never forget.
“The last dance of the night was a Journey song, and I think at that point everyone was up and enjoying the party,” the bride reminisced.
The Proposal:
Danny had been interviewing for a new very lucrative job and ended up getting a job offer. He wanted to ensure his commitment to me and our relationship before accepting the opportunity. We were enjoying a cozy night in our home, and he got down on one knee and explained how he knew he loved me from the very first night we had gone out. He said he just knew. He then pulled out a hot pink silicone ring and proposed. I, of course, said YES! I could not imagine a life without him. He planned on getting me my dream ring, which of course came a few months later. I am pretty positive both Danny and my friends and family thought it was a joke. I still laugh thinking about it today, but it was unique and heartfelt. I would have married him right then and there.
How did you incorporate you and your spouse’s personalities into the wedding?
We just wanted everyone to feel like family from the moment they arrived. We did not have a bride and groom side to the ceremony. We made sure that everyone got up and danced at one point in the night.
What did you look for in a venue?
