Lindsay and Connor’s romantic coastal South Tampa wedding blended relaxed waterfront elegance with warm autumn-inspired details for their October nuptials. With 150 guests overlooking the marina and swaying palms, the bride and groom exchanged vows beneath a floral-covered arbor filled with peach, blush, and soft ivory blooms. The reception carried the same airy coastal feel, with soft copper and dusty rose accents, lush floral arrangements, and poolside tables, allowing the yacht club’s waterfront setting to remain the focal point of the evening. As the sun set over the marina, guests spent the night celebrating outdoors by the water with dinner, dancing, and panoramic views of the bay.
“Our wedding was super chill and silly. We had a cocktail hour with two bars open and the college football games playing, we had a signature drink named after our dog, which, per the venue, was a huge hit (raspberry creme coconut mojito), and we had games and dance-alongs and sing-alongs,” the bride revealed. “We tried to have a silly but loving vibe! We wanted it to be aesthetically pleasing, but what was most important to us was that everyone was comfortable and had a nice time. It was just a beautiful day that felt like a hangout with our closest friends and family, and wasn’t too uptight, but was still smooth!”

“During the venue search process, I would read every Marry Me Tampa Bay article on every venue! It was also one of the only websites to feature the venue (at the time), so that was cool!”
The Bach Party & Honeymoon
“My bachelorette party was at St. Pete Beach at Hotel Zamora. We tied it in with my bridal shower in Tampa at Oxford Exchange. It was a short commute, a beautiful venue, and cheaper than other alternatives, but just as beautiful!
For our honeymoon, we went to Italy, specifically Rome, Florence, Venice, Lake Garda, and Milan! We had never been there and thought it looked beautiful, and wanted to take a pasta-making class.”

“We wanted somewhere that would not require guests to commute between the ceremony and reception. We also wanted somewhere that was big enough, aesthetic, and affordable.
We ended up choosing the Bay Club at Westshore Yacht Club because of how stunning it was and how great the on-site catering was. Also, Amy Winkleman (the event manager) is a huge asset. It was great. Truly a beautiful venue, especially during sunset, and the food was a huge hit. Most wedding guests accept that the food will be mediocre, but everyone was raving about the food.”

“Connor proposed by the Christmas lights on the Battery in Charleston. I wish I could remember specific things from his speech, but I was too nervous and excited!”

The design carried warm fall tones, gold, blush, cappuccino, and garnet with florals that framed the view instead of competing with it. They even named their signature drink after their dog (with a custom illustration), which tells you everything about their vibe. It was elegant without being overdone, heartfelt without being heavy, just two genuinely kind people celebrating in a way that felt natural, joyful, and completely their own.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
All of our vendors were great. We could not have asked for better vendors! LaRon Hearst Weddings was a fan fave! The violin was such a special touch during both the ceremony and the cocktail hour.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Do not panic while planning. The vendors and venue all know what they are doing and tie it together better than you could have ever imagined, so do not stress!
