Alexa and TJ's luxurious downtown Tampa wedding was an elegant evening featuring a rooftop ceremony overlooking trendy Water Street followed by a romantic ballroom reception complete with chic formal gowns and classic black tuxedos. While the decor was traditionally-inspired, the festivities were anything but, manifesting in a bountiful buffet and epic dance party.
“We were going for a very classic and neutral luxe modern wedding. I wanted something both timeless and modern,” the bride shared. “I opted for a very neutral color palate of black, white, and green.”

Alexa and TJ selected Tampa Bay's first five-star hotel to host their intimate rooftop ceremony surrounded by a small group of family members, before hosting a lively reception with all of their invited guests. The pair prioritized a fun guest experience over traditional formalities, focusing on great music and delicious food to make the celebration unique and memorable.
“We are both very laid back and enjoy having fun with each other as well as our friends and family. We decided to have a smaller, family-only ceremony just prior to the reception because family is so important to us both. After that, it was party time!” Alexa beamed. “We wanted the whole night to be a fun celebration and decided to forego formalities such as seated dinner and cake cutting. Our priority was to spend the entire night on the dance floor with our people!”

Where did you host your bachelorette party?
Miami. Most of my bridal party is located in Florida and the east coast, and I wanted somewhere easy to get to and warm. We had a blast at the beach, pool parties, and the food was amazing.
The Proposal:
TJ proposed on the Riverwalk in downtown Tampa. I was under the impression I was meeting his family for a birthday dinner. He met me on the riverwalk and proposed! All of our family and friends were waiting to celebrate at the Ulele rooftop bar with us.

I wanted my photographs to be very classic and crisp.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
We spent our honeymoon in Jackson Hole, WY. Since we live in Florida, we wanted to do something different for our honeymoon and spent a week skiing and exploring Jackson Hole. It was amazing!

When it comes to your wedding, there are no rules. Do what you want. We were able to plan an amazing wedding in six months, which some people thought was very quick, but it is totally doable! The most important part of your wedding day is you and your new spouse's happiness and nothing else really matters.
