Our guests wore formal black attire, and Logan opted for a dark green velvet jacket to stand out and add an elevated element to his look.” -The Bride
Morgan and Logan’s South Tampa wedding was an elegant evening filled with chic attire, a monochromatic palette, and an abundance of romantic candlelight.
“Our design inspiration was a blend of classic and contemporary aesthetics with a timeless feel. We really allowed the venue be a guide in our inspiration. We absolutely loved the dynamic architectural and design elements of Hyde House. We leaned into the venue’s aesthetic for inspiration as we created all of the additional personalized details,” the bride detailed. “We selected black and ivory as the main colors for our wedding. The Clearwater bride relied on Marry Me Tampa Bay to provide expert guidance during the planning process for their 130-guest January wedding.
“Marry Me Tampa Bay sent me a guide early on in our wedding planning process and checked in throughout the way, which was very much appreciated!” Morgan beamed.
After discovering Evoke Photo and Film‘s impressive portfolio on social media, the couple immediately connected with the creative team and were blown away by their attentive approach and eye for detail.
“We looked for a photography team who focused on raw moments. We wanted to capture the emotion and authentic nature of our day and special moments. I wanted a team that was able to spot these moments themselves rather than pose for each and every photo. I also prioritized the editing style, as I wanted it to match our wedding aesthetic,” the bride explained. “Initially, I loved Evoke Photo and Film‘s editing and shooting style. I loved the candid moments and creative elements, as well as their timeless editing style. I was drawn to the moody, yet natural, palette of their Instagram feed. Upon my initial consultation with Stacy, I felt fully confident in their ability to photograph our day. She was extremely professional, thorough, laid-back and just real. We were able to speak about our vision and knew our styles meshed. From the moment we booked them, to the wedding day, both Stacy and Garry emulated impeccable service. They met us for a venue walkthrough and assisted us in creative efforts to utilize Hyde House‘s furniture and decor to elevate our wedding. During the day of our wedding, Stacy, Garry, and Chesnie were extremely helpful and honestly calming. Their professional and laid-back nature made me feel at ease despite the many stressful things that can (and will) pop up during the big day!”
The high school sweethearts celebrated a milestone anniversary just before their wedding day, adding an extra layer of sentiment to the experience. They prioritized the guest experience and personalized each element in a way that felt uniquely them.
“Our rehearsal was actually on our tenth anniversary together! We met in high school and have been together since. We knew we wanted to prioritize our careers and personal and professional growth prior to marriage. We are so excited to celebrate with a new anniversary for a lifetime to come!” Morgan gushed. “Our most important element was creating an atmosphere that was both true to us as a couple and one that our guests would enjoy, from the food/beverage selections, to the music and the overall flow of our wedding. Live music was one of our early nonnegotiables; we love live music and the energy it creates within a space so this definitely felt true to us. We also incorporated a lot of DIYs, as I love creative projects, and during the ceremony, Logan and I both added soil to a key lime tree, significant to his late grandfather, to symbolize the planting of our roots of life together.”

The Proposal:
I am a huge holiday lover. Logan pre-planned what was supposed to be a double-date with our best friends in December. He proposed the idea of a golf-cart guided Christmas light tour around Hyde Park and its historic neighborhoods. Our best friends last-minute backed out, and it ended up being a solo date night, which ended in us walking around Water Street and its charming holiday decor. A photographer pretended to be testing lighting, and asked if we would take a few photos before her upcoming shoot. He surprised me by kneeling down, as she took the photos in front of the giant decorated tree. Our friends then surprised us afterwards at a rooftop bar to celebrate!

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
We have not yet planned our honeymoon but it is in the works! We are prioritizing an unplugged style honeymoon in a tropical destination to decompress from the busy year.
Where did you host your bachelorette party?
Rosemary Beach/30A in October. I wanted something laid-back, and we had a large group. The weather was absolutely incredible, and we enjoyed time on the beach, rooftop sunsets, exploring downtown and honestly just relaxing together.

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
Evoke Photo and Film went above and beyond with their photography, film and content creation. I was extremely impressed by their level of creativity, professionalism and ability to capture authentic moments. Good Food Catering also absolutely exceeded our expectations with an incredible variety of food and top notch quality. The Hyde House staff, specifically Stephanie, also impressed us. Stephanie was extremely timely, helpful and personable throughout the entire planning process. She assisted us by giving her professional opinion on design and vendor decisions. She was extremely organized and responsive and truly enhanced our entire wedding planning experience.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Take a long, deep breath and enjoy the process! It can be so easy (and natural) to get stressed throughout the planning phase. Stay organized and ask around for recommendations. I loved hearing from people, firsthand, about their experience with vendors and locations. On the day of, I led with the mindset “it is what it is.” Little things will work out differently than you may have anticipated and that is okay! The day is about you both and celebrating your love; all of the other little details will fall into place and are not worth any negative energy that may take away from that!
