Khrystle and Joseph's dreamy Tampa Heights wedding included a flower chandelier, a vintage photo booth bus, and an abundance of gorgeous greenery. Setting the mood for their bohemian wedding, the St. Pete couple incorporated candles throughout their reception venue for a truly magical ambiance.
“The best way to describe our wedding would be industrial boho chic. I loved the idea of taking this industrial brick building and softening it up with soft colors and textures,” the bride shared. “Overall my style is very boho, so our theme really felt like it embodied our personalities as a couple. For our reception space, we used a lot of candlelight to infuse a soft, romantic feel with an industrial one.”

Khrystle had a specific vision in mind and chose Tampa wedding planner Special Moments Event Planning to bring her ideas to life.
“We were looking for someone who was receptive to the idea that I was a very hands-on bride and knew exactly what I wanted. I just need a push in the right direction,” the bride explained. “We loved Tammy’s can-do attitude and felt like she truly understood what we had envisioned our special day to look like. Tammy was incredibly organized and her attention to detail helped make our celebration something we'll never forget.”

With a rockstar planner in place, the bride and groom felt that finding a Tampa wedding photographer who they really meshed with was of the utmost importance.
“We looked for a photographer who we felt matched our personalities and overall style of our wedding. Looking back on their magical day, Khrystle and Joseph will never forget sharing their iconic wedding day moments with their 90 wedding guests.
“One of the most memorable moments of our wedding was reciting our vows to each other. We both wrote our own vows, so it was really exciting to hear them for the first time,” the bride reminisced. “We also loved our reception entrance, and all of the first dances.”
What were your hair and makeup inspiration?
Hair and makeup I wanted to keep as classic and natural as possible.
I loved Femme Akoi Beauty Studio’s boho-inspired looks when it came to hair. Ayla did a wonderful job bringing my vision to life.
The Proposal:
Joe proposed on my birthday! After taking me to get a massage, we went home to get ready for dinner. When I got out of the shower, to my surprise, Joe had a new dress and heels laid out for me. We headed to downtown St. Pete thinking we were headed to a restaurant, but instead, there was a beautiful picnic set up in the park for me. Joe proposed at the picnic and then we went to dinner at 400 Beach, where all of our closest friends and family were waiting for a surprise engagement party!

What were your colors?
Mauve, blush, cream, and gold. We love neutral tones and also wanted to incorporate a lot of greenery to complement them. Mauve and blush are two of my favorite colors, and we felt like they complemented our venue as well. We added an extra pop of color too with the blue tuxedos!
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Do what makes you happy and don’t let the opinions of others cloud your judgment. This is your day and everyone is just happy to celebrate your love, so don’t sweat the small stuff!
