Chelsea and Sean’s industrial Tampa Heights wedding perfectly complemented their personalities with a gorgeous blend of rustic chic decor and elegant modern details.
“We decided on a color palette of blue, white and silver and incorporated stunning mixed metals and earthy elements to pull together a romantic outdoor vibe,” the bride explained. “When it all came together, we were thrilled at how well the mixed metals and industrial brick walls meshed with the softer feminine elements of white draping and light florals.”

As the Tampa Bay couple put the pieces together for their big day, they looked to Marry Me Tampa Bay for advice and inspiration.
“Marry Me Tampa Bay was a great resource to get ideas and see what’s available right in our local area,” Chelsea shared. “When our venue fell through, Marry Me Tampa Bay was the go-to place to see all the vendors trying to help brides out. With everything that happened, dependability, trustworthiness, and amazing customer service became super important. I truly appreciated all the advice and easy access to so many different companies in the area that look to make every couple’s big day extra special. If Marry Me Tampa Bay vouched for someone, in my opinion, it really meant something.”
Finding a wedding photographer the couple was comfortable with was a priority, and as they researched a few in the area, they came across one who felt like the perfect fit.
Lifelong Photography Studio had such soft, romantic photos and once we saw them, we knew that was the style we wanted,” the bride gushed. “Everyone we talked to through the process was so sweet and kind. They really went above and beyond, and I can honestly say, I would recommend them to anyone.”

Excited to find a DJ who could really set the tone and keep the party going, the couple chose Grant Hemond & Associates because of their rave reviews and great communication.
“We’re big on dependability, and when we looking for vendors this was huge for us. After hearing so many good things about Grant Hemond & Associates we were sold,” the bride beamed. “We had actually been to several weddings they had worked so we knew they were the go to! Everything about working with them was easy and effortless and everyone was super responsive and caring!”

Looking back on their special day, the couple loved sharing their vows and the reasons they love each other in front of friends and family.
“For us, our vows were our favorite part. We made it a point to write them for one another and we had kept them hidden from everyone else up until the wedding,” the bride reminisced. “It was a special moment to share in front of everyone, and now the original copies of our vows are sitting in picture frames to remind us of that special moment.”
What were your colors and theme?
We always knew we wanted blue incorporated into our wedding, and I liked the clean/modern type, while Sean liked the outdoor/rustic looks. When it all came together, it was a perfect blend of the masculine strength elements with the mixed metals, woods, and industrial brick walls and concrete floors and the softer feminine elements of white draping, light florals, and white roses. Plus, the blue we loved so dearly gave everything this unique and whimsical pop of color.
The Proposal:
We had traveled to Panama City Beach because I was doing an Ironman triathlon on a Saturday in November. We got there earlier in the week and after getting some groceries together we passed a billboard that advertised helicopter rides. I was trying to stay rested and out of the sun, but we were going a little stir crazy just staying in the hotel, so Sean suggested we do the helicopter ride. The next day, I got up early to do a swim workout, and then we headed to the helicopter ride. We went up and down the coast and even passed part of the race course. As we were flying back in, Sean told me to hold up the GoPro facing us to get one last picture of us. As I had the camera turned towards us, I hear Sean start saying over the headset, “Chelsea Taylor Woodcock, I love you.” Now, as romantic as he was being, I didn’t know why he was being so mushy when the pilot could hear us, so I turned around to look at him, and that’s when he pulled out the ring and proposed. Of course, I immediately dropped the camera, started crying and grabbed the ring box from him!
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
Someone who we felt comfortable with that had the style we were looking for. We looked at several books and you definitely start to get a feel for lighting and style of the photographer as you turn the pages. I can’t say we knew exactly what we were looking for ahead of time, but once we saw it, we knew.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Remember that it’s all about joining your lives together! The wedding is supposed to be a celebration of your love and this amazing step in your lives. Splurge on the things you care about and toss out the things you could do without. Surround yourself with the people you love, and do thing things that truly make you happy. At the end of the day, a lot of things will be a blur. Things like music and pictures and even little details you thought were huge will end up not mattering at the end of the day. As long as you can look back and smile that you’re now married to your best friend, that’s all the matters. Don’t forget those things, and I promise you will have an amazing wedding.
