Vintage Glam South Tampa Wedding | Oxford Exchange Wedding
Jennifer and Joey's elegant South Tampa wedding featured a vintage, glam theme with an array of ivory, blue, gray and black tones.
“I've always had a love of historic design, decor, architecture and fashion,” the bride shared. “I wanted vintage glamour without feeling like a theme party. The whole evening felt like us.”
The couple, who live in Charlotte, North Carolina, were residing in Tampa during their engagement.
“We both loved watching Tampa develop into the city it's become, so it was very important for us to have our wedding where we lived.” Jennifer explained.
To complete the bride's vintage, glamour look inspired by her Jenny Packham gown, she hired Tampa wedding makeup artist Lindsay Does Makeup.
“Lindsay is a friend first, who told me she was doing my makeup as soon as we got engaged,” the bride gushed. “I didn't have a choice in the matter, but I didn't need one because she is great at what she does, and I would have selected her anyway!”

To handle the logistics of involving their fur baby in their big day, the couple hired Tampa wedding pet planner FairyTail Pet Care.
“Our dog is our child in every way. How do you have a wedding without your child!? The answer is you can't, so he was there,” Jennifer shared. “I was so happy to find FairyTail Pet Care! They took care of all the logistics that would have otherwise been placed on a family member or member of our wedding party. Because of them, we were all able to focus on our day and know our sweet boy was well cared for and attended to.”

Looking back, one of the bride's most memorable moments was savoring the advice from a friend, who was also her officiant.
“I loved our ceremony. I thought it was so funny and personal, and we owe all of it to Ryan Blanck, a very good friend. He gave me so much great advice on how to slow the day down and take it all in, which I managed to do. I enjoyed our wedding day all the more because of his guidance and am forever grateful for the memories he gave us,” Jennifer reminisced.
The Proposal:
Joey proposed during an afternoon stroll on the beach in Deerfield. We were there for a friend's wedding so it remains a very memorable weekend for both our relationship, and our dear friends who were married the next day.
What was your wedding day beauty inspiration?
The dress dictated the entire look. It was a Jenny Packham from her 2012 collection that I had to get in Canada. I wanted something I could move in and wear all night but still exude a sexy vintage glamour. I went without a veil because it was too challenging to find something that matched. I was happy to wear a statement hair clip in place of a veil, and I found a great pair of blue shoes to help tie into our color scheme.

Why did you choose to include your pet in your wedding?

How would you describe your theme?
The dress and the venue set the tone for the theme. I've always had a love of historic design, decor, architecture and fashion. I wanted vintage glamour without feeling like a theme party.
What were your colors?
Ivory, blue, gray, and black were our dominant colors because they are my four favorite colors. I thought they would go nicely with the venue.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Don't forget to take it all in because the day flies by.
