Brittini and Kyle’s elegant coastal inspired destination Clearwater Beach wedding featured an outdoor beachfront ceremony and reception with soft colors of blush pink, tan, ivory and green.
“My family has vacationed in Clearwater Beach since I was a child and it is our favorite vacation destination,” the Boston bride explained. “My husband’s family recently moved to Sarasota, so when we decided to have a destination wedding, we knew Clearwater Beach would be perfect for us.”
The Massachusetts bride and groom chose a shabby chic beach theme to complement the natural beauty of their outdoor, Clearwater Beach wedding venue, the Hilton Clearwater Beach.
“I wanted a natural atmosphere with an open space for all of our wedding guests to mingle and party,” Brittni explained. “I fell in love with the Hilton Clearwater Beach‘s outdoor reception area. When I walked around the hotel and saw the Sandpiper Deck, I could visualize our wedding there. I loved the open, rustic wood deck just a couple steps from the sand and that there was an awning above to protect us from the rain. It was the perfect blank canvas to transform into my own dream wedding!”
To make sure she looked her best on her big day, the bride hired Tampa Bay wedding hair and makeup artist Michele Renee the Studio.
“My wedding day beauty inspiration was long, loose curls worn half-up-half-down with a deep, smoky eye,” Brittini explained. “I liked that Michele Renee The Studio offered both makeup and hair services, so I had one less vendor to hire. Their client photos were very pretty.”
Looking back, the bride shared that the most memorable moments of her wedding day occurred during the reception.
“Our entrances, the first dance, the delicious food, the dancing and singing, our signature cocktails, the group photo and our sparker exit were all my memorable for me!” Brittini reminisced.
What was your wedding day beauty inspiration?
Long, loose curls worn half-up-half-down with a deep, smoky eye.
I liked that Michele Renee The Studio offered both makeup and hair services, so I had one less vendor to hire. I also looked at the studio’s website and Facebook to view photos which finalized my choice. Their client photos were very pretty.
Kyle proposed on our fifth anniversary just after I graduated from pharmacy school. We went to a nice dinner, and when we came home he tied my engagement ring on a pink bow around my dog’s collar. When my dog jumped up to greet me, I saw the ring shining. It was cute!
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We wanted an outdoor beach setting with a sea view. I wanted a natural atmosphere with an open space for all of our wedding guests to mingle and party.
I fell in love with the Hilton Clearwater Beach’s outdoor reception area. I visited a few other reception locations on Clearwater Beach, but when I walked around the hotel and saw the Sandpiper Deck, I could visualize our wedding there. I loved the open, rustic wood deck just a couple steps from the sand and that there was an awning above to protect us from the rain. It was the perfect blank canvas to transform into my own dream wedding. The staff was very nice; from our menu tasting to our wedding day service, they made us all feel special.
How would you describe your theme?
Shabby chic beach wedding. We were looking to have a soft, delicate, natural-looking beach theme without being too over the top.
What were your colors?
Blush pink, tan, ivory, gold and green. Very soft and natural. No bright colors for us.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Make sure you are in love with your reception location. Finalize your reception/ceremony sites first, then lock in your vendors. Go with your gut. Book your room block well in advance. The cost will likely exceed what you have in mind, so set a budget and keep a spreadsheet of everything. Don’t procrastinate!
