Jaime and Kyle’s downtown Tampa wedding combined a monochromic palette of black and white hues with timeless ivory roses and greenery. The bride and groom exchanged vows in a poolside rooftop ceremony before hosting their guests in an elegant ballroom reception with sweeping city skyline views.
“Our style was modern-minimalist. We were inspired by the venue. The existing decorations and florals made everything easy. We went with simple white florals and greenery,” the bride shared. “We went simple and classic with shades of black and white.”
The local couple hosted 115 guests at a trendy hotel in downtown Tampa’s new Water Street district. With so many logistical details and moving parts, they relied on the organized planning team at Breezin’ Weddings to tie up loose ends and ensure all of the puzzle pieces fell perfectly into place. The pair found their day of coordinator through Marry Me Tampa Bay, and she helped ease Jaime’s mind and allowed her to fully enjoy the celebration without worrying about the little details.
“I spoke with a few planners, but Breezin’ Weddings was so friendly and made us feel like we were in good hands,” Jaime gushed. “Having a planner was a great help with little details. They took care of our seating chart and printed items like the menus, place cards, and food selections. She helped calm my mom and my nerves before the wedding just by talking through everything with us. She also helped with the timeline and coordinated all of our vendors.”
The couple prioritized the reception experience, creating a delectable menu and a lively party vibe for their friends and family.
“We really wanted to have fun and make sure our guests were dancing and having a good time. Our DJ had everyone on the dance floor all night long,” the bride beamed. “Good food and drinks were really important to us.”
The pair turned to expert DJ Chris Grainger of Graingertainment to take the lead in setting the tone for the January celebration, ensuring everyone hit the dance floor and partied together all night long.
“For the DJ, we wanted someone who knew how to keep people on the dance floor. Chris from Graingertainment was the DJ for my best friend’s wedding, so I knew he was the right fit for us!” Jaime detailed. “I loved their service and ease of communication, and we also used their photo booth.”
Looking back, Jaime’s most memorable moments were the first look and surprising Kyle with their dogs.
“I told Kyle the venue wouldn’t allow dogs, and I didn’t want to have to worry about them. Secretly, Fairytail Pet Care picked them up from our house and brought them up to the rooftop for photos before our ceremony, and they are my favorite photos from the day,” the bride gushed. “The first look was also great because it gave us time to relax in our room, spend time together, and change outfits/hair before the reception.”
Where did you host your bachelorette party?
Ft. Lauderdale. We wanted something not too far away and low-key.
Why did you include your pet on your wedding day?
Our dogs are our babies, and I couldn’t see our wedding without them there somehow!
Fairytail Pet Care had great reviews. Their service was amazing; I couldn’t have asked for better. They brought my dogs in to surprise my husband. They were so nice and you could tell they were true dog people, which we loved. The girls took great care of my two dogs.
The Proposal:
Kyle proposed on a snowboarding trip in Park City after dating for eight years.

Where did you spend your honeymoon?
We did a “mini-moon” in Vail. We love snowboarding and usually go on a couple of trips a year with a big friend-group. Vail is our favorite spot! It was nice to go just the two of us and get away for a few days after all the craziness of wedding planning.
Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
My hairstylist made my day so easy. She hung out at the venue all day to change my hair after the ceremony. She is so easy to talk to and was great to hang out with while getting ready. She did my hair, plus five bridesmaids and two moms, and everyone looked amazing.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Relax! What really matters is you and your partner.
