Ibette and Sandor’s waterfront Dunedin wedding was an enchanting evening that perfectly combined greenery flora with the stunning waterfront views. The bride and groom incorporated pops of metallic gold throughout the decor to add a flair of elegance to their heavenly inspired vision.
“My theme was a simple elegant garden; I wanted greenery, white flowers, and gold accents. Greenery helped our flower budget, and white flowers looked fresh and clean. I wanted something classic, and the outcome turned out beautifully,” the bride beamed. “The green matched the lush foliage and the gold matched the metal details. I also wanted some portions of the venue to be an ethereal white.”

When she began thinking of her big day, the bride found the perfect wedding venue and inspiration from a Marry Me Tampa Bay styled shoot.
“We used Marry Me Tampa Bay during the wedding planning process; we saw an article on a staged wedding that was set up at Beso Del Sol, and those pictures and decorations of the venue were gorgeous,” Ibette gushed. “We especially loved the pier available to the bride and groom for some great ocean shots. It was so beautiful, intimate, and simple that we just had to go with this venue!”
To plan their intimate celebration for 60 of their closest friends and family, Ibette and Sandor had a clear vision of a waterfront Tampa Bay venue that offered amazing views and the flexibility to bring their DIY dream to life.
“Our first date was at Clearwater Beach, so overlooking the Bay while having our first dance as husband and wife was a full-circle moment for us. We wanted intimacy and uniqueness and also being within our budget couldn’t hurt! Beso Del Sol had that ocean view we were looking for, but none of that Florida heat from a beach wedding. The venue has a wall when walking in that’s all glass, overlooking beautiful blue waters,” the bride shared. “Beso was also the perfect size for our small-ish party, and with two levels this would give the guests the options to either people to watch or to partake in the boogying. The venue coordinator promoted the “DIY” aspect of the venue. This was a huge win since I already had a vision, and I’m really picky. The fact that we could make it our own was beautiful to us. The venue had beautiful spots for pictures; the pier and the park across Beso Del Sol provided amazing bridal portraits.”

To create a cohesive look between the church ceremony and the ballroom reception, the Orlando couple wanted help from a reputable local wedding florist to take their garden vision and execute it into the floral design.
“Florals were very important to me, and they really transformed the venue. My floral inspiration reminded me of a simple ethereal garden, with lots of rich greenery and bundles of different white florals” Ibette explained. “I wanted to make sure that the florist was familiar with the reception area since it is such a personalized venue. Brides n Blooms Wholesale and Design was so helpful, and the vision of my dream wedding came true because of them. Everything, down to the bouquets, was perfect! Dorelle made the process so easy and filled in the gaps to my vision. She also gave me tips and tricks on what florals and greenery would help decrease our expenses. The reception turned out more beautiful than I imagined.”

Since the bride wanted to tie in gold metal accents into their ethereal color palette, she turned to Outside the Box Event Rentals for sharp contrasts of metallic decor throughout the reception.
“Outside the Box Event Rentals helped us with the gold Chiavari chairs, golden utensils, the base for the flower wall, and gold metal table numbers,” Ibette shared. “The gold accents we rented created such an elegant feel to the venue.”

While looking back on their perfect day, Ibette and Sandor cherished the moments spent on the dance floor with their loved ones.
“The conga line was the most memorable. Literally all of our guests joined in on the conga line” the coupled reminisced. “The line even went up to the second level, grabbed those people sitting, and then brought them down to the dance floor. We were all laughing and having a great time together. It was such a great moment!”
The Proposal:
Sandor and I went to Washington, D.C. on July 4th. We were sitting on the lawn of The Washington Monument, getting ready to watch the most patriotic fireworks. As the sun was setting, Sandor was saying the most heartfelt words and before I could say anything back, he reached for his pocket and stunned me with this ring and the words, “Will you marry me?” We even got pictures of the proposal from an on-looking tourist! She sent us all of our photos, I still love her for that.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Don’t skimp out on the photographer. All this effort into the wedding and not having the day documented is heartbreaking. Trust me it will be worth it! Also, nothing will be perfect, so don’t expect it. This is just one day, so make sure your outlook on day is positive, and let things roll off your shoulders.
