Wesley Chapel couple Kaitlyn and Courtney met as co-workers and became close friends as Kaitlyn helped her hubby-to-be study for his insurance license.

Last Christmas, the pair attended the Wiregrass Christmas tree lighting, where Courtney proposed.

“It was such a huge shock because he told me he was going to propose several months earlier, but he said he wanted to wait until I graduated so I didn’t get distracted by wedding planning. At that point I didn’t think it was coming until August,” Kaitlyn shared.

Kaitlyn decided to make her Tampa engagement pictures unique, rather than holding a portrait-style shoot. The pair rented an antique car and created a storyline of a couple traveling for vacation for her vintage engagement session.

“I am a big fan of vintage, old-looking types things,” the bride said. “It really took some convincing for my fiancé. He wanted to do more of a casual shoot because we don’t have many normal pictures of us. I convinced him that we don’t get this opportunity very often, and I promised him it would turn out good. He was very happy with the results.”

To make their vision come to life, the couple hired Tampa wedding photographer Ware House Studios.

“Ware House Studios had an amazing portfolio online. They had so many different kinds of pictures and definitely made great use of the resources they had to work with and could definitely tell the amount of experience they had,” the bride gushed. “It was Cristiana who recommended to have the shoot at the University of Tampa, because of the vintage theme we were going for and because it was a free location! There were several great spots to take pictures there.”

Kaitlyn is currently busy planning her February 2014 at Dade City wedding venue Lange Farm.

“It was the perfect wedding venue for us because the location is very peaceful, and Courtney is a very outdoors person.”
