There’s just something about a guy in a band that girls just love. Tampa bride Danielle met singer Michael at a Sister Hazel concert, where his band was the opening act. Although Michael was living in Los Angelas, he decided to make the move to Tampa after Danielle was offered a job here.
Vintage Prohibition Era Style Wedding
The couple both love the Prohibition Era, so they chose a vintage theme and soft colors. Danielle wasn’t too bogged down with the details; she didn’t pick a specific color and allowed her bridesmaid choose their own dresses. “I literally showed my bridesmaids a color palate and told them to find a dress they felt cute in and buy the damn thing!” the bride joked. “They all did an amazing job.”
To handle the task of planning a Tampa wedding in a non-traditional wedding venue, Danielle hired Tampa wedding planner Unique Event Design. “Staci Mandikas with UNIQUE Event Design was a saint for putting up with my Type A personality right before the wedding!” Danielle said.
Thanks to a close friend, Danielle and Michael were married at a private residence. “We wanted an intimate feel to the wedding, as well as not have to deal with a venue and time restrictions,” the bride explained. The pair were married outdoors over a covered pool with a vintage fireplace taking the place of an alter. Guests were treated to a tented and draped outdoor dinner decorated with a mix of tall crystal covered silver candelabras and unique arrangements of antique books.
Tampa wedding photographer Carrie Wildes Photography captured all the memorable moments. “Her photos are far more amazing than any other photographer that I saw. I didn’t event meet with anyone else,” Danielle proclaimed. “You can see in her work that she really loves what she is doing, and that is priceless.”
Some of the most memorable moments of the night came from the talent of the groom. Michael built the photo booth wall, which entertained the guests all night, and during their first dance he surprised Danielle by writing and recording the song that was played. This completely caught her off guard, because she doesn’t hear him sing solo often.
“You could feel the love and friendship that they shared with everyone there,” their Tampa wedding photographer Carrie gushed.
