Ansley and Rogan
Junior League of Greater Lakeland Building
“Our theme was an elevated garden party. I love anything vintage and springtime-inspired. I just come alive in the spring, maybe because I was born then!
Our colors were all pastels with touches of gold. I wanted everything to feel light, airy, and romantic; colorful, but not loud.” -The Bride
Ansley and Rogan’s vintage Lakeland wedding blended soft spring colors, sentimental details, and timeless garden-inspired style for an April celebration with 75 guests. The Central Florida ceremony took place on the lawn of the Junior League of Greater Lakeland Building overlooking Lake Morton, followed by a reception inside the historic venue filled with pastel blooms, gold accents, and personalized details that reflected the couple’s love story.
“We live in Plant City now, but both of us were born and raised in Lakeland. I grew up on Lake Morton, which is actually where the Junior League Building—the venue—is located, so it felt really sentimental to have our wedding there. We chose details that truly reflected what I love and what brings us joy,” the bride beamed. “Our signature drinks were based on our favorite cocktails and named after our three cats. So many of the details were customized—everything from the signage to the bar menus felt personal and us. I’d do it all over again in a heartbeat—it was such a special day.”

The Bach Party & Honeymoon

“My bach party was at River Ranch! The theme was ‘Last Rodeo.’ We went to the rodeo, horseback riding, and the saloon—it was such a fun, nostalgic weekend with my girls. We even watched a rom-com and made friendship bracelets. I love nature and animals, so it was the perfect way to feel like a kid again before stepping fully into adult life. My maid of honor planned every detail perfectly!
We went to Italy—Florence, Rome, and Positano for our honeymoon. It was a dream trip! Italy has always been on our bucket list. Rogan loves history, and Italy is full of it, plus it checked every box: mountains, beaches, farmland, nature, and city life.”

The Proposal
“Rogan took me back to where we had our first date at the Dali Museum. We walked to the park nearby, and that’s where he proposed. It was sweet, simple, and perfectly us.”

The Rentals
A Chair Affair
“Our rentals were a beautiful design, and A Chair Affair paid attention to detail. They were fantastic—easy to work with, fairly priced, and very professional. They coordinated seamlessly with our floral and décor team at FH Events and did everything exactly as promised, which means so much on a wedding day!”

Most Memorable Moments
“Seeing Rogan at the end of the aisle—it instantly calmed me. He’s my peace in the chaos. I also loved the hilarious moment at the reception when several women, including some bridesmaids, started switching dresses—it turned into such a fun, spontaneous memory!”

The DJ

Graingertainment
“We wanted someone fun but also professional—someone who could understand our style and keep the energy high all night.
We absolutely loved Chris Grainger of Graingertainment! He was so kind, flexible, and easy to work with. Chris totally got my music preferences (even though I was pretty particular!) and blended everything perfectly. The dance floor was packed all night.”

Which vendors really exceeded your expectations?
FH Events brought my floral and décor vision to life even better than I imagined. Everything was stunning. The music was perfect with Graingertainment. We didn’t leave the dance floor once! Terrie and her team at TLC Catering were incredible. Guests raved that it was the best wedding food they’d ever had—one even said, “I wanted to lick my plate!” The staff was so kind and attentive. Handled by Holly went above and beyond to make sure I got every moment I dreamed of. They handled all the details so we could truly be present. SweetCakes by Andrea Reed (my Mom!) created a custom cake design that matched all my printed materials, and it was delicious! I can’t wait to enjoy it again on our anniversary—it’s waiting in our freezer. MADE by Allen Reed (my Dad!) designed all the stationery, signage, and wedding branding. The bar sign was extra special because it featured our cats!
What advice would you give to other Lakeland couples?
Plan your day for you, not for social media. Enjoy the process and remember—it’s about the marriage, not just the wedding.
