Many little girls dream of their wedding day and while in class as a child, Carina may not have realized she was sitting in her future St. Pete wedding venue.
“We married in my childhood church. The priest who married us is the same priest from when I was in elementary school,” the bride shared. “We loved the history and “Old Florida” feel the venue provided.”
Carina and Itan's ivory and pink, vintage St. Pete wedding incorporated personal touches throughout.
“For the centerpieces, we used old library books and family heirloom teacups. For the place cards, we used skeleton keys with hand written tags. Our family from Hong Kong had their names written in Chinese,” the bride explained.
The Largo couple searched for a St. Petersburg wedding photographer who was familiar with their wedding reception location.
“We wanted a photographer who takes naturally beautiful photos and would listen to our needs,” Carina shared. “I like how Kristen’s work [of Kristen Marie Photography] is both romantic and modern. Also, it was clear from the first meeting that she was very professional; I felt very comfortable trusting her.

The couple focused on food, family and fun to provide an experience for their wedding guests, with an international cuisine and live music.
“We received so many compliments on [the food and band],” the bride gushed.”We also supplied each table with selfie sticks which were a huge hit!”
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
We wanted a photographer who takes naturally beautiful photos and would listen to our needs. I had also hoped to find someone familiar with the reception location.
I like how Kristen’s work [of Kristen Marie Photography] is both romantic and modern. Also, it was clear from the first meeting that she was very professional. I appreciated that she seemed relaxed, but could still take charge when needed. I felt very comfortable trusting her.
How would you describe your theme?
There were a lot of vintage elements. For the centerpieces, I used mason jars decorated with pearls and tea stained lace. We also used old library books and family heirloom teacups. For the place cards, we used skeleton keys with hand written tags. Our family from Hong Kong had their names written in Chinese. I wanted to include personal touches whenever possible.
What were your colors?
Mostly whites and ivories with pops of pale and cherry pink. I wanted to stay with the vintage theme, but add some color.
