Brian and Matt's Sarasota wedding was the epitome of Gastby-esque vintage glamour and pizazz. The couple ensured that their personalities were represented throughout their wedding day by choosing every accent and small detail.
“We wanted everyone to celebrate and enjoy. It's in our nature to want to put on a show, so we completely pulled out the stops and had elaborate lighting, performances and of course a sensible costume change,” Brian shared. “We had an eclectic group of incredible friends who have become our family by our side, from celebrated performers from New York City, to acclaimed writer Zara Barrie performing the ceremony to having our cherished pup Max (our 3-year-old Cockapoo) be our ring-bearer.”
The couple visited Marry Me Tampa Bay numerous times while researching wedding vendors and looking for local decor ideas.
“Marry Me Tampa Bay came up many times in our search for area inspiration and vendors to explore opportunities with,” the couple explained.
The Sarasota couple incorporated unique paper flowers bouquets and boutonnieres made from vintage sheet music for their bridal party With the help of Sarasota wedding hair and makeup artists LDM Beauty group, the couple's vision for completing the show-stopping look for the bridal party came to life.
“Lindsay, the owner of LDM Beauty Group, has been a long-time friend of Brian's, and he couldn't imagine anyone else's esthetic vision for the very specific look they wanted,” Matt explained. “We pulled a lot of inspiration from the 1920s, but updated and refined. We chose a very vintage-inspired, elegant feel. We had our wedding party start out in gold sequin nude illusion gowns, and then change after cocktail hour to vintage sequin gowns, each a different color that reflected their personality to us.”

Ensuring that their guests had a fun take away favor from their wedding evening, the couple included Sarasota wedding photo booth The Fancy Booth.
“Having Fancy Booth was a great addition for guests to get instant memories printed along with digital copies of the images that they could email to themselves instantly. It's also really fun to look back at everyone's photos throughout the evening,” the couple shared.

Reminiscing on their wedding day, Brian and Matt reflected that some of their most memorable moments were because of those in attendance to celebrate their love.
“Looking out during the ceremony and seeing all the most important people in our lives gathered together to celebrate our love and journey together, it really meant the world to us. The first dance and mother/son dances were to live performances by special friends,” the couple reminisced.
The Proposal:
Matt proposed to Brian after his preview performance of Gypsy in Sarasota at a local restaurant nearby. He flew in one of Brian's best friends and top Billboard Artist, Rachel Lorin, from New York City to perform and give a pop-up performance to a mix-tape featuring some of their local talent, theatre friends.

How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
We chose a very vintage-inspired, elegant feel. We had our wedding party start out in gold sequin nude illusion gowns, and then change after cocktail hour to vintage sequin gowns, each a different color that reflected their personality to us.
What were your colors?
Blue and gold (ceremony and cocktail hour) and blue and silver (dinner and reception). We both love blue, and there's so much you can do with gold and silver.
How did you incorporate you and your spouse's personalities into the wedding?
We put our complete selves into the wedding, every accent and detail was chosen by us, and we hope that radiated through the evening.
Why did you choose to have a photo booth at your wedding?
Having The Fancy Booth was a great addition for guests to get instant memories printed along with digital copies of the images that they could email to themselves instantly. It's also really fun to look back at everyone's photos throughout the evening.
