NOTE: Salt Shack on the Bay no longer offers weddings
What happens when you combine a modern wedding aesthetic with upbeat tropical notes? The results are romantic natural elements with pops of gold, green, and pink.
“Our theme was modern tropical, inspired by Tampa Bay and the lush tropical nature in the area. We incorporated natural elements with wooden tables and chairs and added pops of gold, greens, and pinks,” Brittany Collins, wedding planner and owner of Socialite Events, shared. “Keeping with the tropical vibe, we used monstera leaves as our place cards with gold accents. The ceremony arch was gold and modern with pops of bright tropical floral details, creating the perfect backdrop for a beautiful occasion.”
To complement the laid-back Florida lifestyle, the planner and designer chose a waterfront South Tampa restaurant with a private event space ideal for a casual reception.
“Salt Shack has a laid-back beach vibe with thatched roof buildings, sand, and views of Tampa Bay. We wanted to honor the existing vibe while incorporating upgraded elements like hot pink and gold accents,” Brittany explained.
With the planning team perfecting every detail, Carrie Wildes Photography captured all of the tropical details, complete with sunset portraits by the Bay.
The bride’s flowing wedding dress from Truly Forever Bridal featured a hint of a ballgown shape while complementing the casual setting. The contrast of the simple design with the bright wedding bouquet made the florals radiate.
The addition of wooden elements in the French country chairs, sweetheart table, and welcome sign, accompanied by the gold chargers and flatware, added warmth and elegance to the beachside celebration.
“Our favorite elements were the unique place cards using monstera leaves and the pops of hot pink that really brightened up the table décor,” the planner beamed.
