Jessica and Ed were a part of each other's lives for years, though neither realized it.
“We both lived in the same apartment complex at one point, but never met. We both went to the University of South Florida at the same time, but never met. We both went to the same gym, but never met. I even attended a church group meeting (hoping to meet a nice, single man) that took place in the house right next to his!” Jessica explained.
After almost 10 years of close encounters, Ed finally introduced himself to Jessica, but she was in a relationship.
Months later, Ed saw Jessica's profile on a dating website and immediately took action.
“He paid for a one-month membership to the site so that he could email me, and he tells me all the time that it was the best $20 he’s ever spent,” Jessica shared. “I replied to his email right away. We chatted a bit, ultimately speaking on the phone several times before finally meeting for our first date at Cantina Laredo. It was a fantastic evening. Little did we know that would be our last ‘first date.'”
Ten months later, Ed proposed after the pair returned from a family BBQ in New Jersey.
“I had no idea it was coming, but I didn’t hesitate to say ‘yes!'” Jessica reminisced.
Jessica and Ed have lived in Tampa for almost 20 years and knew that Clearwater Beach would be the ideal wedding location for their out-of-state family and friends.
“We decided everyone would love a great reason to come to the beach, so we decided to have the wedding locally,” Jessica said.
“The sky terrace on a sunny day is breathtaking and private,” Jessica shared.
To complement the April wedding date, Jessica's wedding colors were a collection of pastels.
“I wanted a springtime, light, airy, ocean-side, romantic feel,” the bride explained. “I committed to being non-committal.”
“Northside Florist totally exceeded my expectations. Seriously, I was in love with my bouquet, so much so that I asked Kathy to become a preferred vendor for my business, an elite matchmaking service,” Jessica gushed.
Jessica and Ed planned an intimate Clearwater Beach wedding ceremony, keeping the guest list to only 23.
“Both Ed and I waited a long time for each other, so we kept the ceremony intimate and special,” the bride reminisced. “We wanted to keep the day focused on the true meaning, and not allow ourselves to get lost worrying about the little details.”
Looking back, the Jessica's most memorable moment came during her vow exchange.
“For me, it was having the opportunity to say ‘I do' to the man of my dreams, Jessica shared.
To capture every last kiss, the couple hired Clearwater Beach wedding photographer Ware House Studios.
“Cristiana and Ian Ware were fantastic and so much fun! We must have posed for over a thousand pictures that day, and we really enjoyed doing it.” Jessica said.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay Brides?
Get a wedding planner! Worth every penny.
Use Pinterest to get ideas – I would have been lost without it.
I also advise that getting your hair, nails and makeup professionally done are worth it so that stress levels do not rise. I got ready only with my mother in the room, instead of all of the bridesmaids, which I think kept the energy in the room calm.
