Brittany and Logan’s romantic St. Petersburg garden wedding combined traditional elements with romantic details special to their relationship, which spanned several cities and years dating back to high school.
“Logan and I met our senior year of high school, so we are technically high school sweethearts. We went to two different colleges and spent our college career doing long distances. I like to think that this kind of love story is pretty rare in this day and age. So I think our commitment to each other is incredible and makes our love story unique,” the bride beamed.
The Tampa couple chose a neutral palette to complement their outdoor garden setting.
“Our color scheme was white, ivory, blush, and gold. It was the perfect color palette to make our elegant and romantic wedding theme come to life,” the bride gushed.

To find reputable wedding vendors, the bride turned to Marry Me Tampa Bay to research her wedding dream team.
“I did a lot of research when it came to wedding vendors. These were the people we were trusting to make our dream wedding come to life, so it was honestly the most important part of the process (and definitely took the longest),” the bride explained. “I used Marry Me Tampa Bay for my initial wedding vendor search. The website helped me identify the vendors we wanted to meet with. Every vendor we chose exceeded our expectations.”
The bride shared that she had a specific vision for her wedding florals and decor, including an impressive ceiling installment for the reception. She was thrilled when St. Pete wedding florist Jean of Monarch Events and Design brought all of her inspiration to life.
“Brittany knew exactly what she wanted and had her wedding day envisioned. The wedding and floral design were inspired by elegance, with a bit of unexpected incorporated, that being the 90-feet of hanging greenery with flowers and lights along the ceiling,” Jean shared. “Along with the rest of the design, we really transformed the space for Brittany and Logan’s fairytale wedding. We incorporated tall centerpieces, low centerpieces, flowing garlands filled with flowers, and magical candlelight everywhere. The entire day was pure elegance.”
“Jean is incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and detail-oriented. She is so passionate about her brides’ wedding day, and it shows from your original consult, through every email and phone call, up until, and even after your big day,” Brittany gushed. “But even better than Jean is an absolute dream come true to work with and a fairy godmother of weddings; she is the nicest woman you will ever meet. She is genuine and treats each wedding like it is her own. I have found a forever friend in Jean, and plan on keeping in touch with her years beyond my special day. She is a rockstar and I’m eternally grateful for all she did to make my wedding dreams come true.”

When it came time to plan the entertainment for their 165 guests, Logan and Brittany sought a DJ who would create an unforgettable party and lasting memories of the evening.
“We wanted someone who could liven up the room and ensure everyone would get to the dance floor and have a good time. And our wedding DJ did just that!” the couple raved. “We heard countless great things about Grant Hemond & Associates, and we were not disappointed with the service we received! Everyone had a great time at our wedding and several friends and family members called out what an amazing time they had dancing the night away.”

One of the most memorable moments of the reception was during an unconventional father-daughter dance that Brittany planned in honor of her late Father who passed away when she was younger.
“We decided to end all of the formal wedding dances with the honorary father-daughter dance and played one of my dad’s favorite songs that always reminds me of him, Make Someone Happy by Jimmy Durante. We asked everyone to come to the dance floor and have a dance in his honor, which then also opened up the dance floor,” Brittany reminisced. “It was the perfect, positive way to honor him.”
The Proposal:
Logan’s proposal was so romantic and personable. We had a picnic lunch planned, and he took me to a lakefront gazebo in a local park that was decorated with rose petals and photos of us. He dropped down on one knee and asked me the easiest question I’ve ever had to answer! He also had his sister and best friend stationed taking secret photos that we will undoubtedly cherish forever!
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
Traditional, elegant, and romantic.
What were your colors?
White, ivory, blush, and gold. It was the perfect color palette to make our elegant and romantic wedding theme come to life.
What did you look for in a wedding florist?
I had a very specific vision when it came to florals and had several visuals to provide to Monarch Events and Design. She brought all of those visuals to life and worked with me to make the ceiling treatment a reality. It was one of the most stunning parts of our wedding!
Jean is truly the most incredible vendor you could ever hire for your wedding. I had a vision of what I wanted on my wedding day, and she made every single dream become a reality. We were married at a very popular wedding venue in the area, and every single vendor came up to me and my husband and told us they had never seen it look so beautiful in the 20+ years they have been doing weddings at the venue. Jean is incredibly responsive, easy to work with, and detail-oriented. She is so passionate about her brides’ wedding day, and it shows from your original consult, through every email and phone call, up until, and even after your big day. But even better than Jean is an absolute dream come true to work with and a fairy godmother of weddings; she is the nicest woman you will ever meet. What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. I know you’ve spent all these months meticulously planning and thinking through every detail imaginable, but when your actual wedding day comes, don’t worry about those things. At the end of the day, the most important part of your wedding day is the vow you are talking to your significant other. Things undoubtedly won’t go as planned, but you have to take a step back and enjoy the moments with all of your loved ones! I promise it will still be the best day of your life!
