Vietnamese Tampa Bay Wedding | Tarpon Springs Wedding
Tara and Binh’s Tarpon Springs wedding incorporated the couple’s Vietnamese heritage and a mix of their personalities.
“Our wedding was very soft, romantic and almost whimsical, yet traditional. It reminded me of being in a dream,” the bride shared. “I am an all glam and over the top kind of girl, but my husband is more low-key and simple. I tried to pick key details that would make my wedding stand out but left some stuff simple.”
Wedding photography was important to the bride and groom, who made finding the right fit a top priority when it came to their wedding budget.
“I wanted a certain style edit for my pictures and someone who could incorporate their personality with ours,” Tara explained. “Rad Red Creative took the time to discuss my wedding day and was very understanding about my culture. They also had worked a traditional Vietnamese wedding before, so that was a plus. They were one of my favorite vendors. I connected with them so well and because of that, my photos exceeded my expectations. I loved all of my pictures and got them back in record timing!”
Looking back, the Denver, Colorado couple shared that one of their most memorable moments was returning to the bride’s hometown for their Tampa Bay destination wedding.
“I really enjoyed seeing all of our friends and family who traveled near and far to help celebrate the day with us. It is rare that you can get everyone together nowadays,” Tara reminisced.
The Proposal:
We went to our favorite restaurant, Beatrice & Woodsley, in Denver, CO, and Binh had invited a few of our friends. As we were walking up to the restaurant, one of my (future) bridesmaids met us at the front, and Binh ran inside. She was holding a single rose to give to me and walked me in the restaurant.
As I walked in, each one of our friends was there to give me another rose leading me to the back of the restaurant where it was filled with four dozen roses and tea candles. When I finally reached the back of the restaurant, Binh was down on one knee and proposed right there in front of everyone.
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
I wanted a certain style edit for my pictures and someone who could incorporate their personality with ours.
Rad Red Creative took the time to discuss my wedding day and was very understanding about my culture. They also had worked a traditional Vietnamese wedding before, so that was a plus. They were one of my favorite vendors. I connected with them so well and because of that, my photos exceeded my expectations. I loved all of my pictures and got them back in record timing!
How would you describe your theme?
Our wedding was very soft, romantic and almost whimsical, yet traditional. It reminded me of being in a dream.
I am an all glam and over the top kind of girl, but my husband is more low-key and simple. I tried to pick key details that would make my wedding stand out but left some stuff simple.
What were your colors?
Soft pastels, white and gold. I wanted something simple, but beautiful.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Don’t sweat the small stuff, because at the end of the day no one will remember what went wrong at your wedding. There were a lot of things that didn’t go as planned, but I just asked myself – can this be fixed now or not – and if not, I just let it go and enjoyed my special day.
