Brittany and Brian’s Clearwater Beach wedding was a picturesque affair with elegant decor, gorgeous rooftop views, and a confetti-filled last dance.
“We really imagined a romantic bohemian ambiance with gorgeous fresh flowers and modern chic decor. We were immediately drawn to dusty blues, shades of green, and neutrals to tie in the beach feel, but also classic winter elements,” the bride shared. “Being able to show some of our personality and ensure our guests were having a good time was really important to us. Imagining epic views of the beach, delicious food, and intimate space with lots of room to dance, the North Carolina couple chose the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach.
“We chose the Hyatt because they checked everything off our list that we were looking for and were within budget,” the bride explained. “The service was absolutely incredible! I can’t say enough great things about the teams we worked with. They provided a weekend cell phone number to text or call if we needed anything and even helped plan our rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. All of our guests continuously told us how impressed they were with the resort staff for both the rehearsal dinner and wedding!”

After researching our site, Brittany and Brian found a Clearwater Beach wedding planner who was detail-oriented, genuine, and professional.

During one of our searches, we came across Parties A’La Carte and when we decided to hire them, it was the best decision we ever made! They were the only planner who reached back out to me within 24 hours. To me, that showed high organization and professionalism especially since all of the others took about a week. “We chose Bruce Wayne Florals through a referral from our lovely wedding planners. When we had our mock setup appointment, they did amazing; we didn’t change a thing,” the bride beamed. “They captured exactly what we were going for right from the start. They also worked within our budget and made several recommendations on what would look best the day of. We requested for the ceremony aisle to be lined with eucalyptus, and it turned out just as pictured. We would use them over and over again!”

Reminiscing of her joyous day, Brittany will never forget how memorable exchanging vows overlooking the peaceful, crashing waves were.
“The most special part of the whole day was when we read our vows. We didn’t do this traditionally at the ceremony, instead, we said them back to back to each other on a terrace overlooking the ocean with our wedding party and close family members right before the first look,” the bride blushed. “It was an important, unique, aspect that we wanted to share only between the two of us and our closest friends and family to make it more intimate.”
The Proposal:
We were visiting Brian’s brother in Aspen, CO with his family, and on our second day after a day full of skiing, we walked around downtown Aspen to view the holiday lights to take some pictures together. I took a picture with Brian’s brother’s girlfriend, while Brian sneakily stayed behind me. After that photo was taken, he turned me around and said, “I love you so much,” and then I honestly blacked out and don’t remember what else he said, but I started crying right away and couldn’t stop. He got down on his knee and asked the question! Brian hired a professional photographer to capture the moment, and those are photos I will cherish for the rest of my life. After the proposal, I called my immediate family and his parents took us out to sushi in a private dining area. It was perfect!

We felt like our color combination of whites, greens, and grays worked in well with the dusty blue, silver, and champagne neutral linens. The hand-tied bouquets also captured the elegant, yet casual look and feel we were going for.

Both of us really wanted a beach and ocean view, but without being directly on the sand. We also liked the idea of having our wedding at a resort that included everything together such as food, open bar, and overnight accommodations for our out-of-town guests.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Relax. Everything will get done, and everything will go exactly how it should. Even with hiccups, it will make the day that much more special. Try to take some time during the reception to step back together and look around at all of the people who love you and came to celebrate you because everything goes by so quick!
