Kaity and Jared’s industrial downtown St. Pete wedding was the perfect combination of modern elegance and romantic charm. With white lanterns and flickering candles, the bride and groom incorporated just the right details to nail their classic yet chic vision.
“We really wanted to incorporate details that would embody our industrial-urban ambiance. We are out-of-the-box people who love to be different, and we really envisioned finding a way to add a little bit of flair to our urban theme,” the bride explained. “With a color palette of burgundy wine and white, everything meshed perfectly. The deep red really offset my whimsical white dress, and we loved how well the colors fit the venue.”

On their quest to find a downtown St. Pete wedding venue that was unique to their vision of industrial yet classic, Kaity and Jared stumbled upon NOVA 535 and immediately knew it was the perfect choice.
“NOVA embodied exactly what we were looking for! It was the first place we saw and fell in love instantly! The venue is so well decorated that we hardly had to add anything ourselves! The interior brick, exposed pipes and beams, and dimmed lighting was a perfect complement to our theme,” the bride gushed. “The staff at NOVA was unbelievably nice and helpful. Our package included a DJ, event planner, and great recommendations. It was all practically done for us, which made it super easy. NOVA really made our night unforgettable!”

The couple knew an experienced caterer that offered amazing food, efficient service, and peace of mind was a must for keeping their guests happy.
“Olympia Catering & Events‘ food was amazing! We had ordered enough food for 25 additional people, and we did not have a single drop of leftovers. Everyone devoured the food,” the bride shared. “Our venue had worked with Olympia many times before and aside from picking out our menu, they took care of everything. We weren’t worried at all. Olympia was on top of everything and did a fantastic job!”

Reminiscing of their special day, Kaity loved all of the special memories that made her day one she’ll never forget.
“There we so many moments from our wedding I’ll cherish forever: from spending time with my dad before he walked me down the aisle to enjoying a bottle of champagne with my bridesmaids in the dressing room,” the bride reminisced. “But, seeing Jared for the first time as I walked down the stairs was truly the icing on the cake.”
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
When trying to capture our vision we really wanted to incorporate details that would embody our industrial-urban ambiance. We are out-of-the-box people who love to be different, and we really envisioned finding a way to add a little bit of flair to our urban theme.
What were your colors?
Burgundy wine. It was a great deep color of red to offset the white dress. It also went well with the venue colors!
The Proposal:
Jared proposed at the Ritz Carlton in Vail, Colorado during the winter. It was absolutely gorgeous with the snow on the ground and the shimmering lights in the background. He pretended to take what I thought would be Christmas card pictures of us, but really he was recording his proposal!
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
Something that was unique and out of the ordinary. We really wanted something that was non-traditional and a little different than most places.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
If you look hard enough, you can find a venue that fits your personality perfectly. For me, a beach wedding was not my thing, nor was a traditional wedding. I thought it would be impossible to find an industrial-inspired venue, but after some research, NOVA 535 appeared, and it was our perfect fit!
Don’t let anyone try to convince you to do something that isn’t what you and your partner want. Everyone likes to have their opinions during weddings, but remember it’s your day! Do what you love!
