Waterfront St. Petersburg Wedding | St. Pete Beach Community Center
Ali and Brandon’s navy blue and green waterfront St. Petersburg wedding showcased the couple’s love for the water.
“We are boat people, and we go offshore fishing a lot and wanted to incorporate that special part of our life into our wedding,” the bride shared.
The St. Petersburg bride and groom hosted an outdoor waterfront wedding ceremony with police boat entrance by the groom, followed by a nautical themed reception.
“The reception was the most important element. We love to have a good time, and we want our friends and family to have a good time, which is what they had,” Ali beamed. “The ceremony was also important, but a lot of our ‘true colors’ and aspects of our life was in the reception.”

To wrangle their rambunctious groomsmen, Ali and Brandon searched for a St. Petersburg wedding photographer who could go keep up with the pace of their wedding day.
“My husband and a lot of the people at the wedding are in law enforcement, so we were looking for someone with thick skin who could go with the flow of a non-serious wedding party, but also able to keep them on track for a quick and painless formal picture session. We are a rowdy group, and my husband is not a huge fan of long photo sessions and neither are his groomsmen. We looked for someone who was easygoing, but also an amazing photographer,” the bride explained. “We liked Kristen’s personality [of Kristen Marie Photography] and how easygoing she was and knew she would be able to control the group when needed and not in a rude way. She understood what we wanted and the time frame we wanted it on, and she got it done within those requests and not a minute past. She was so amazing to work with, and if I could do it again, I would pick her again!”

What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
My husband and a lot of the people at the wedding are in law enforcement, so we were looking for someone with thick skin who could go with the flow of a non-serious wedding party, but also able to keep them on track for a quick and painless formal picture session. We are a rowdy group, and my husband is not a huge fan of long photo sessions and neither are his groomsmen. We looked for someone who was easygoing, but also an amazing photographer.
We chose Kristen Marie Photography because she understood what we were looking for and how this group of people were. We liked her personality and how easygoing she was and knew she would be able to control the group when needed and not in a rude way. We also liked the photos from other weddings she did. She understood what we wanted and the time frame we wanted it on, and she got it done within those requests and not a minute past. She was so amazing to work with, and if I could do it again, I would pick her again!
How would you describe your theme?
