With its gorgeous rooftop and elegant ballroom, The Birchwood has become an iconic Tampa Bay wedding venue. Located in the heart of downtown St. Pete, the boutique hotel features sweeping rooftop views of Tampa Bay and oversized chandeliers in its ballroom making it a top choice for engaged couples.
Bringing together the hotel’s modern finishes and classic ballroom setting, St. Pete wedding planner Parties A’La Carte created a modern bohemian theme for this styled wedding shoot.
“The Birchwood wanted to accentuate their ceremony and reception space, so we chose a modern, yet timeless design that showcased their ballroom; giving prospective wedding couples a true vision of what the hotel has to offer,” Jessica Ralph-Bova, owner of Parties A’La Carte shared. “The Birchwood’s sage green draping and mercury mirrors were the inspiration for the overall design and helped to shape the modern, bohemian theme. We used lush greenery with pops of white, and gold and silver metallics to complete this romantic look. We made sure to highlight all of the in-house elements available at The Birchwood, including the beautiful chairs, draping, glassware, and flatware.”

St. Pete wedding florist, Cotton & Magnolia, designed the focal point of the ceremony and accented the reception tables with gorgeous selections of greenery.
“The greenery arch created by Cotton & Magnolia made a beautiful backdrop against The Birchwood’s grand windows and was exactly as we envisioned,” Jessica gushed. “The tall ceilings and the natural light make this an ideal ceremony setting.”

The bride showcased an A-line illusion lace dress from Tampa wedding dress boutique The BRIDE Tampa, complemented by soft-swept curls and a clean and romantic look by LDM Beauty Group. A tux doesn’t always have to be the final choice for grooms, as our model looked dapper in a grey suit from Sacino’s Formalwear.
The finishing touches included paper goods hand designed by Sarah Bubar Designs, while Tampa Bay wedding bakery Alessi Bakeries created a deconstructed three-tiered cake, showcasing the variety and creativity that a couple can use on their wedding day.
