As the size of weddings is continuously evolving, Tampa Bay couples are embracing intimate weddings, and this styled wedding shoot showcases the comforting feeling of home with a playful, yet elegant intimate brunch affair.
To complement the natural setting, this team of wedding pros incorporated a soft and muted color palette, with towering flora to draw the eye outward and interrupt all of the surrounding greenery.
“We chose the neutral color palette to keep things simple, yet beautiful and to draw your eyes to the tablescape/ florals while complimenting the natural surrounding. The colors for the shoot included ivory, champagne, nude, and blush. The colors of the landscaping in the yard were already so vibrant from the green grass to the full oak trees,” Brittany Schrader of Elle Gray Events beamed. “I also really loved the tall florals. There was a lot of green space so we really had to be very intentional with the floral design to break up some of the green and highlight the setup! Those bright pops of ivory, white, and champagne did just that!”

No matter your guest count, it’s a celebration of the love between two people that makes a wedding special, and a small scale event can still boast all the beauty and emotion that a larger fete would convey.
“The theme was really inspired by the times we are currently facing, both globally and locally with the impact the coronavirus has had on the wedding industry. I’ve seen first-hand couples postponing and canceling their wedding day, and it’s been heartbreaking,” Brittany shared. “The theme was created to showcase the fact that you can absolutely have a beautiful wedding, including the closest people to you right in your own front (or back) yard. I love the concept of having a small wedding with a big design. You are really able to control the setting and bring together very intentional and intimate details that showcase who you are as a couple.”
The planner shares that any location can be transformed into an intimate wedding venue.
“The theme for this shoot was a soft, romantic, front lawn wedding. I wanted to create a brunch wedding that was both simple and full of intimate details that could be brought to life at a venue or right at your home. This particular shoot was actually located at my husband’s grandmother’s house. Every time I drive up to the house I’m in awe of the landscape and all the memories that have been made at the home,” Brittany recalled. “The personal details make couples’ wedding days that much more special. I think the idea of hosting a wedding at your home or a family member’s home can seem daunting or overwhelming, but I really wanted to showcase that when you bring together the right group of talented vendors, you can really transform any space.”

A homespun brunch wedding can offer plenty of distinct and memorable details, like the bubbly bar with fresh berries and breakfast-themed crepe cake. Another bonus when hosting an at-home wedding? Your pet can be part of the celebration!
“I absolutely love it when couples can include their furry loved one on the day! The wedding day is meant to be fun, full of laughter and love. There is nothing that brings a smile to your face quicker than a couple’s furbaby! They bring such joy and the couples always light up when their dog comes into the room,” the planner gushed.
