The rustic charm in a Dade City wedding can be felt throughout the town’s rare rolling hills and spacious acreages. For a fresh look from the traditional barn inspiration, Karen Cerboni, lead planner and owner of EventFull Weddings incorporated modern design elements paired with a vintage style for this stunning inspirational styled shoot.
“We titled our shoot ‘Southern Elegance.’ I wanted to differentiate the theme from a rustic farm style,” Karen explained. “The venue really inspired the style of the shoot. It was very southern and romantic with some more modern and vintage hipster elements like the mobile bar.”
To contrast the green magnolia leaves intertwined throughout the theme, a charming color palette of pastel pale blues and pops of pink created an aesthetically delightful atmosphere.
“You can’t get any more southern than the magnolia leaf. We used a lot of magnolia leaves for this shoot, and to save on costs, Stephanie, the photographer brought bags of them she cut from her own trees,” the planner revealed. “When Stephanie invited me to be the planner for this shoot, she had already landed on a pale blue for the color scheme. I added the pink because I love pink and a pop of black on the salad plate for a little twist.”
The reception’s modern meets vintage flair featured a farmhouse feasting table donned a light pink burlap linen table runner from Over the Top Rental Linens, which matched the sweetheart table. Chic gold flatware accompanied the dark blue place settings, with clear and light pink crystal goblets to add extra flair.
“I have a lot of favorites for this one but the most is the monogram used on the cake and invitations and how the elegant tabletop items look against the rustic farm table,” Karen gushed.
The bride’s vintage hair and makeup style featured a bold red lip, while the bouquet’s delicate white florals created a layer of southern elegance the planner envisioned. Not to be upstaged, the groom’s boutonniere had the same level of extravagance that suited his formal attire perfectly.
