Melody and Mitch's downtown Tampa rooftop elopement featured classic decor and beautiful city skyline views for the couple's intimate ceremony.
The Tampa natives chose to elope because they loved the idea of having an intimate wedding ceremony of 10 guests with just their siblings and parents. Although they plan on having a larger reception in the future, they felt that this was a great fit with what they envisioned for their nuptials.
“We wanted our wedding day to be a really special day with our family. Because our wedding was small we were able to be fully present and soak up the details that made our day so special,” Melody gushed.
So that they could focus on the celebration, the couple hired intimate wedding planners Elope Tampa Bay to take care of all the day's details.
“We can’t say enough great things about Elope Tampa Bay! They were so thoughtful and helpful from the first email all the way through the end of our wedding,” the bride raved. “They took care of all the planning and hired our vendors. All we had to do was provide our favorites from flowers, to cake, to music, and they really brought my vision to life!”
Melody and Mitch chose light and neutral flowers to complement their outdoor wedding.
“My overall wedding vision was for the day to be relaxed, fun, and modern,” the bride shared. “I picked champagne and white roses, baby’s breath, and ranunculus for our flowers, and I was blown away by how beautiful they were.”

“Our photographer Amber made us feel so at ease. She helped us get comfortable in front of the camera, and we are so happy with how our photos turned out,” the bride praised. “In our almost nine years together as a couple we had never taken professional photos!”
Something notable that Melody and Mitch took away from their wedding was how special a small elopement can be.
“Weddings may look a little different from now on but that doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate in a special way! At the end of the day, it’s about you and your partner making a commitment to each other in whatever way is right for you,” the bride thoughtfully shared.
The Proposal:
It was such a sweet surprise and a day I’ll never forget! One of our favorite things to do is take walks around our neighborhood together. One Saturday night we were walking home after a dinner date when Mitch suggested taking the long way home. We were enjoying the cool weather and the full moon when the next thing I knew, he was down on one knee! Many happy tears later I finally figured out what was happening. It felt like a dream. I still have no idea how he hid my ring in our tiny apartment!
