St. Petersburg Indian Wedding | Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club
This St. Petersburg Indian wedding at Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country Club featured a waterfront backdrop, vibrant colors and seven-tiered wedding cake to highlight the beauty of South Asian weddings.
“This Indian fusion stylized wedding session focused on three different scenes. With gold being a popular color in South Asian culture, it was used as the main color for the religious ceremony decor. Deep eggplant shades and colorful flowers were used to accent the Henna canopy, and a rich selection of vibrant colors were used as reception decor for an elegant, yet exotic look,” wedding planner Tas of Tas Events and Design shared.
The nighttime henna setup on Isla del Sol’s private beach created a dreamy atmosphere with its flowing purple drapery and pink and yellow rose petal accents.
“I was truly inspired by the location. Isla is such a gorgeous property,” the wedding planner added.

Inside, the ballroom was transformed with uplighting from Boone’s Professional Events, gold specialty linens and chiavari chairs and pink, peach and yellow centerpieces by Iza’s Flowers. A seven tiered blue and purple ombre wedding cake by The Artistic Whisk was center stage in the reception room.
How much would you estimate this wedding would cost for 150 guests?
This estimate will be slightly different from your standard American wedding, mainly because South Asian wedding celebrations are stretched somewhere between 2-4 days. Almost 98% of South Asian couples prefer to have their cultural food and open bar. At that point, most catering directors will eliminate the venue cost and will charge a per person fee to provide them with the service at their request.
