Ashley and Randy’s magical outdoor Dade City wedding came to life in a Georgia-inspired setting. The Clearwater couple’s celebration perfectly embodied sweet country charm, as the bride wore a chic yet modern lace dress, while her groom wore blue-jeans and boots, reflecting their personalities for a laid-back wedding.
“I wanted country, but elegant, sort of a country-chic ambiance,” the bride shared. “I love color, but I didn’t want to look back and have regrets in ten years for doing something that was trendy. We stuck with a more traditional feel and added lots and lots of greenery with white florals.”

With the ceremony being an important aspect of their special day, the bride and groom made sure to get everything just right. From the golden rays of sun shining through the moss-covered oak trees to the groom’s grandfather’s Ford truck that the couple restored, Ashley and Randy left no detail untouched.
“The ceremony itself meant a lot to us. I spent hours working on the ceremony script because I really wanted it to show us and have it resonate with our guests,” the bride gushed. “Looking back, it was all such a blur! We watch our video, look at our pictures, and just smile because of all the little details that went into making it a bittersweet memory we’ll never forget.”
The Marry Me Tampa Bay team has known Ashley for many years through the wedding vendor community and knew that her wedding day line-up would be filled with the best wedding pros Tampa Bay had to offer. As a wedding planner herself, of course, she hired her planning colleagues to nail her rustic-chic vision.
“Being in the industry for almost four years, I’ve seen a lot. Luckily for me, I’ve learned a lot too. When it came to planning our wedding, I knew that having someone there to ensure the day ran smoothly, and stress-free was a #1 priority for us,” the bride shared. “Hiring Parties a la Carte was a no brainer. From start to finish, they were on top of every little detail.”

A vision of organic and simple florals came to mind when Ashley began planning her bouquet and reception decor. Greenery and ivory florals took center stage, as Tampa Bay wedding florist, Bruce Wayne Florals, executed the bride’s dream.
“I wanted the overall reception to match our personalities and the venue,” Ashley explained. “After meeting with John and Bruce, we knew it was meant to be! They knew exactly what I was picturing, and what I wanted! My bouquet looked EXACTLY like my inspiration picture. Bruce Wayne Florals made my Pinterest board come to life, even better, actually!”

Searching for draping and napkins, to complete the look of her reception, Ashley turned to Gabro Event Services and Over The Top Rental Linens.
“Although my venue provided almost everything, there were still a few things I knew that I needed,” the bride shared. “I wanted to do some draping in the entryway but didn’t want it to feel too heavy. I instantly thought of Gabro Events and their sheer white draping. As for the napkins, Katie with Over The Top was so helpful with helping me pick the perfect napkin!”

Reminiscing on all of the moments that made their day unforgettable, the couple will forever remember a sweet surprise that they held out on sharing with family until the ceremony.
“Randy and I restored his grandfather’s old Ford truck for me to ride up to the ceremony in. We did this without his dad knowing as we wanted it to be a surprise to him,” the bride gushed. “When I rounded the corner of the barn and saw all the guests, I clinched my dad’s hand and closed my eyes. I wanted to remember this feeling forever. I also needed to stop crying!”
How would you describe your theme/wedding design inspiration?
I wanted country, but elegant, sort of a country-chic ambiance. I love color, but I didn’t want to look back and have regrets in ten years for doing something that was trendy. We stuck with a more traditional feel and added lots and lots of greenery with white florals.
What were your colors?
The only color in the wedding was the bridesmaid dresses. I picked four colors that I liked, and let them decide which one they liked the best and which would flatter them.

The Proposal:
While on vacation skiing in Colorado, we took a break from the slopes and went snowmobiling. Randy had never been, so I was excited for us to experience it together. Little did I know that once we reached the top, he had a plan of his own for me. There he was on one knee with a 360-degree view of nothing but snow-capped mountains. I didn’t have any idea and was so taken back that it took me a good hour just to stop the happy tears from flowing. It was so perfect!
