Stephany and Tyler’s Tampa garden wedding was a modern chic affair filled with natural earthy tones, sweet personal details, and plenty of glitz and glamour. Envisioning an elegant garden party ambiance with a hint of outdoor Florida charm, the West Palm Beach bride and groom chose a color palette of deep green, black, ivory, and rose gold sequins.
“We love to get dressed up for special occasions, and we wanted our wedding to fall in that same category. We went with natural earthy tones and a black-tie wedding,” Stephany shared. “Envisioning all things simple and classy, we chose white candles in glasses for centerpieces, natural-looking bouquets, elegant string lights, plain white china plates, and real glassware. We also incorporated a fun balloon arch, an amazing photo booth with props, the most adorable sweetheart table and a dear friend playing the piano. Our wedding was everything I had ever hoped it would be!”

Since feeding their 155 guests an impressive menu was at the top of their list, the couple went all out with some help from Tampa caterer Elite Events Catering to capture their foodie vision.
“We wanted food stations that would offer variety, but also provide everyone with something they liked. We ended up doing three different sliders, tacos, and a big salad buffet! It was such a spread,” the bride gushed. “Working with Elite Events Catering was amazing! We wanted a specific menu, and they told us from the beginning they would make it happen! Melissa was always on time, and truly went above and beyond to make Tyler and I feel special. We were more than pleased with the service and food, and it made everything even more special that the ingredients that they used are local and farm to table!”

Looking for a glam squad to complement her black-tie affair, the bride hired Femme Akoi Beauty Studio based on their great reputation and expertise in the industry.
“For my wedding day look, I ended up wearing all my hair curled and down with little braids wrapped with baby’s breath! I thought it was a good fit for the garden. My makeup was enough for pictures, but also simple because I still wanted to look like myself,” the bride shared. “Femme Akoi Beauty Studio did a good job. The girls were friendly and got through hair and makeup on time.”

Music played an important role during the reception, and the couple invited their guests to be a part of a special moment on the dance floor.
“During my dance with my dad, I invited all fathers and daughters to come to the dance together. It was really special when everyone joined us on the dance floor,” the bride beamed. “Something else I coordinated was the anniversary dance. I previously asked many of our family and friends who have been married a long time what their first dance songs were. I had our DJ play them in 15-second increments so everyone could dance to their first dance song again! I loved seeing everyone’s face when they recognized their song!”
Looking back on the details on the day, Stephany made sure Tyler had a say in all the special details.
“We both put our visions and ideas together to capture our special day. I wanted to make sure Tyler had all of the things that he dreamed of for his wedding day too. He said the only thing he really cared about was seeing me for the first time when I walked down the aisle,” the bride reminisced. “His face when he saw me is something I’ll never forget. We wrote our own vows and shared them in front of all our family and friends, so those little moments really meant a lot to us.”

The Proposal:
Tyler and I had been dating for five years before he proposed! He proposed at a cabana in Palm Beach. He got down on one knee and told me he couldn’t imagine the rest of his life without me! He washed my feet and had all of my sisters hiding close by to come hug me!
