Rustic Lakeland Outdoor, Barn Wedding | Rocking H Ranch
It was a family affair for Megan and Charles’ rustic outdoor wedding ceremony, which took place on their family’s property, Lakeland wedding venue Rocking H Ranch.
Megan started the day getting ready in the Higgenbotham’s plantation home, while Charles, the grandson of ranch owner, Marty Higgenbotham, and his groomsmen relaxed and had drinks at his own home which is also on the property.
The Lakeland couple’s rustic wedding ceremony took place under the gorgeous canopy of historic grandfather oak trees at Rocking H Ranch. After their intimate nuptials, guests headed to the barn which was decorated with rustic and antique touches.
Inspired by their love of nature, Megan and Charles’ wedding colors included sage green, white, khaki and earth tones. Additional rustic touches included birds, nests and eggs, moss, teacups, hydrangeas, roses and family antiques.
Wedding guests dined on BBQ and nibbled on wedding cake (the groom’s cake was an armadillo as a nod to Steel Magnolias). The February weather complemented the outdoor fire-pit and S’mores wedding favors.
Lakeland wedding photographer Andi Diamond Photography captured the couple’s special moments, while also making friends with some of the wildlife on the ranch.
