Elegant Waterfront Sarasota Wedding | Ca d’Zan Ringling Mansion Wedding
Adrian and John’s Sarasota wedding featured an intimate ceremony with stunning waterfront views atop the Ca d’Zan Ringling Mansion Belvedere Tower.
“We live in Bradenton and wanted something close to home so that our families and close friends could all be with us on our special day. Not to mention we live in a beautiful area where almost everywhere is a perfect setting for a wedding,” the bride explained.
Although the couple intially began with a 100+ person guest, they decided to focus on their immediate family, rather than all of the pomp and circumstance.
“Our wedding was unique because it was very small and intimate, but to me, had the feeling of a big wedding because of the beautiful venue we were in,” Adrian shared. “I really wanted it to have a relaxed feel, and I wanted to be able to spend time with the people that meant the most to us.”
The bride and groom chose a soft color palette with to complement their elegant Sarasota wedding.
“Our theme was sophisticated with a hint of fairytale romance. I have always wanted to feel like a princess on my wedding day, so I guess the right term would be a modern princess!” Adrian gushed. “Our colors were very soft whites and light neutrals, with a hint of blush pink. There is just something about the color white that makes me think of sophistication and elegance.”
With such a gorgeous photo backdrop along Sarasota Bay, Adrian and John searched for a wedding photographer who could produce unique, professional photography.
“I wanted a wedding photographer who was unlike any other I have ever seen. I was looking for someone who would be able to capture this special day, but also make me feel like I was looking at pictures in a magazine or book. I wanted, sophistication and fairytale romance,” the bride explained. “I did a ton of research on photographers before hiring Limelight Photography. Picture after picture that I had seen taken by them just took my breath away with their beauty and originality. This is what we wanted for our wedding, and this is exactly what we got. Limelight is amazing, and we have these beautiful pictures of us for the rest of our lives!”

Looking back one of the bride’s most memorable moments occurred during the wedding ceremony.
“Walking up the stairs in the tower and seeing my future husband-to-be right before we said our vows was such a special moment that only the two of us shared together, and I will never forget it. It truly felt like a fairytale with my prince,” Adrian reminisced.
The Proposal:
We were in Kauai, Hawaii at a hard to get to, but most beautiful secluded beach called Secret Beach on New Year’s Eve. We were sitting on a large piece of driftwood, and I briefly looked away. When I turned back around, John was down on one knee! I of course said, “Yes!” We celebrated for a while and when we made the hike back up to our car, two guys came out of nowhere and started to serenade us with their ukuleles on the side of the hill! It was not planned but definitely the most perfect timing!
What did you look for in a wedding photographer?
I wanted a wedding photographer who was unlike any other I have ever seen. I was looking for someone who would be able to capture this special day, but also make me feel like I was looking at pictures in a magazine or book. I was looking for creativity and someone who would be able to give me exactly what I wanted, sophistication and fairytale romance.
I did a ton of research on photographers before hiring Limelight Photography. Picture after picture that I had seen taken by them just took my breath away with their beauty and originality. This is what we wanted for our wedding, and this is exactly what we got. We are 100% happy with them and would hire them again and again. Not only did the pictures turn out amazing, but the professionalism and sincerity that Michael and Rebecca treated us with is unforgettable. Limelight is amazing, and we have these beautiful pictures of us for the rest of our lives! We are beyond happy!
How would you describe your theme?
Our theme was sophisticated with a hint of fairytale romance. I have always wanted to feel like a princess on my wedding day, so I guess the right term would be a modern princess!
What were your colors?
Very soft whites and light neutrals, with a hint of blush pink. There is just something about the color white that makes me think of sophistication and elegance. I have also always loved a beautiful blush pink and thought these would make a perfect combination.
What advice would you give to other Sarasota Brides?
Try to relax and enjoy every moment because it goes by very fast on your wedding day. Don’t sweat the small stuff if something doesn’t go right. You most likely won’t even think about it after you are married!
