Iwona and Dan’s Tarpon Springs wedding combined their love for each other and family heritage. The bride’s Polish roots served as a central theme in the planning and design of the day, while the couple selected their favorite color, blue, into the aesthetic.
The Palm Harbor couple selected the Crescent Oaks Golf Club ballroom for its bright floor-to-ceiling windows that overlook the luscious greens. The venue’s layout was strategically designed to accommodate the pair’s 75 guests.
“We chose Crescent Oaks because of its great location, elegant venue, and it worked with our budget,” Iwona explained. “Their service was exceptional, and we loved having them.”
Due to the international COVID restrictions, the bride’s Polish family members were unable to travel to America for the celebration, so to keep them near to her heart Iwona served traditional food and beverages. Polish pickle kabobs and Belvedere vodka signature drinks were added to the custom-created menu, while the DJ’s efforts to memorize Polish expressions created exhilarating energy throughout the night.
To capture timeless wedding portraits, Iwona and Dan took advantage of Florida’s illuminating springtime sunlight during the dusk hours. The natural beauty of Crescent Oak’s mossy trees and wooden bridges offered diverse backdrops in addition to the traditional golf course backdrop in their formal photos.
The earthy elegance of the golf course surroundings was mirrored in the wedding’s blue hues throughout the attire and decor. The bridesmaid’s long mix-and-matched blue chiffon dresses created a captivating contrast against the greenery surrounding the lakefront grounds.
As the bride reminisced on her wedding day, a special effect on the dance floor made a special moment even more enchanting.
“The most memorable part was our first dance which was on a cloud,” the bride beamed. “It was magical.”
The Proposal:
Dan gave me the best proposal ever. We went to Tennessee on vacation, our favorite place to go, and got a cabin. We were in the hot tub overlooking the mountains when he brought me a drink and on the drink had the ring. I cried almost instantly; it was amazing.
What were your theme/inspiration and colors?
We had a blue and silver theme because blue is both of our favorite colors.
Where did you go on your honeymoon?
We went to two places for our honeymoon. We went to Paris and Ireland, both dream spots for us.
Where did you host your bachelorette party?
For Dan’s bachelor party, he went to New York and got a cabin with his friends, and I went to Nashville with my girlfriends. They chose our locations for us.
What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Enjoy the day because it goes by so fast. We had a 6-hour wedding, and it felt like 20 minutes.
