Carolynn and KJ’s elegant St. Pete Beach wedding was a dream come true for the bride who had imagined getting married at The Don CeSar ever since she was a little girl.
“Being from Tampa, I will always remember driving over the bridge to St. Pete Beach and seeing the stunning Pink Palace! It always held a special place in my heart, and I knew it would be the place I one day tied the knot,” the bride gushed.

Envisioning their 100-person wedding day overlooking the picturesque views of the Gulf of Mexico, the bride turned to Marry Me Tampa Bay for inspiration on how to really make her big day sparkle.
“I read blog posts and viewed the Marry Me Tampa Bay website for inspiration during my planning,” the bride shared. “I have always loved simplicity and elegance. Since our wedding was in December, we incorporated a black and white color palette with pops of red roses. With the modern decor at The Don CeSar, our ambiance was exactly how we had imagined it.”
Knowing from the start The Don CeSar would be the place she tied the knot, Carolynn was more than ecstatic to finally get the fairytale celebration she had dreamed of.
“There was no other option than The Don CeSar for me; it was always my dream venue, and my dream man made it happen,” the bride gushed. “So many things about The Don made our day extra memorable: the location, the history, the views, everything was absolutely perfect. From start to finish, the service was 5-stars. The staff at The Don really outdid themselves and were always more than professional and punctual!”

Looking back on their oceanside celebration, Carolynn and KJ loved that their two sons were able to watch them become an official family.
“Having our sons, Isaiah and Major, watch us get married made our day more than special! We loved that they were able to be there and watch as mommy and daddy became united as one,” the bride reminisced. “Also, getting married on the rooftop terrace overlooking the Gulf was amazing. It was so beautiful!”
The Proposal:
Well, I guess that’s why they say, ‘Get married before babies.’ We didn’t really have a “fairytale” proposal. I got pregnant while we were dating, and everything fell in to place! We were, and are, still madly in love!
What did you look for in a wedding venue?
