Outdoor, Tampa Garden Wedding | Palmetto Club Wedding

Tatiana and Joey’s elegant Tampa garden wedding featured colors of ivory, grey, blush, deep fig and details of gold.

“I am a wedding calligrapher and florist, so the details were so important to me,” the bride shared. “We wanted our ceremony to feel like we were in a garden. Therefore we went all out on flowers, which really helped create that garden feel and gave that elegance we were looking for.”

The couple currently lives in Minneapolis, MN but chose Tampa, as the bride was born and raised in the area.

“It was very important that we got married near Tampa, but it was even more important for us to have a garden, outdoor ceremony wedding,” Tatiana explained. “The two important things were to have an outdoor ceremony space and a beautiful indoor reception space; The Palmetto Club at FishHawk Ranch gave us both of those! It is a great venue and fit our budget so well! We were so happy with their service, and they did a great job at meeting our needs.”

To incorporate their personalities into the wedding, the couple used the bride’s calligraphy skills and culture to add personal touches.

“Tati is all about the details, so she hand wrote all the name cards, gift bags, and more! Her Ecuadorean background also played a huge part in our wedding favors, which were all handmade candies and desserts flown in from Ecuador,” the groom shared.

Looking back, the most memorable moment for the bride occurred during the wedding ceremony.

“We couldn’t take our eyes off each other, and it was just the most amazing part of the day. Becoming one was such an amazing experience, and we’re so beyond grateful we were able to express our forever love to God with our closest friends and family,” the bride reminisced.

What did you look for in a wedding venue?
We currently live in Minneapolis, Minnesota, but I was born and raised in Tampa and Joey outside of Jacksonville. It was very important that we got married near Tampa, but it was even more important for us to have a garden, outdoor ceremony wedding. The Palmetto Club at FishHawk Ranch is a great venue and fit our budget so well! We were so happy with their service, and they did a great job at meeting our needs. The Proposal:
We were currently doing long distance, as Joey was working in Minnesota and I was in South Beach, FL. During a trip to visit Joey, he had planned a whole day trip to this beautiful little town called Stillwater, MN, knowing it was exactly the place I would love the most. He took me down to the riverside, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Joey even thought ahead and had someone take pictures to perfectly capture the moment!

How would you describe your theme?
We wanted our wedding to feel elegant and timeless. I am a wedding calligrapher and florist, so the details were so important to me. We wanted our ceremony to feel like we were in a garden. Therefore we went all out on flowers, which really helped create that garden feel and gave that elegance we were looking for.

What advice would you give to other Tampa Bay couples?
Enjoy the process! We are so lucky to have phenomenal vendors in our area, so take amazing advantage of it! Being engaged is a once in a lifetime experience. Say fiancé as much as you want, and enjoy every step together. Don’t sweat the small stuff, and don’t sweat the big stuff either! Once the wedding day is over, you’ll realize the “big stuff” wasn’t that big!
