Beth and Ben’s whimsical Bradenton wedding was a vision of modern-day beauty with charming rustic details, loads of personality, and a gorgeous color palette of dusty blue, gray and white.
“Our wedding theme was elegant, with subtle hints of rustic charm,” the bride shared. “We chose this theme to keep the ambiance airy and romantic with little elements that truly represented our love and the things that mean the most to us.”

Searching for a local wedding planner who had a creative eye and an outgoing personality, the Bradenton bride and groom chose Kelly Kennedy Weddings and Events.
“When looking for a wedding planner we wanted someone who wouldn’t try to push their ideas on us. We needed someone who was creative, organized and approachable,” the bride explained. “We chose Kelly because she had planned one of our close friend’s weddings a few months before and did an amazing job. The day of our wedding, Kelly ensured things flowed effortlessly. We didn’t feel stressed at all because we knew she had it handled! Being that the bride is from Kentucky, the pair made sure to showcase sweet personal touches that incorporated her home state for her 130 guests.
“I am from Kentucky, and both Ben and I love bourbon. We incorporated a fun bourbon theme into our wedding through the use of a bourbon barrel head in lieu of a guestbook,” the bride shared. “As for our signature drink, we called it ‘the Sadie’, after our dog and made sure it had plenty of bourbon!”
Reminiscing of the day they tied the knot, Beth will always cherish her time with Ben.
“One of the most memorable moments of our day was probably the first look because it was just the two of us. It’s always such an intimate moment getting to be with just your partner before walking down the aisle,” the bride beamed. “Aside from spending time together, having all our family and friends there to celebrate made it a day we will never forget!”
The Proposal:
Ben proposed at our house before dinner one night. Our dog was there and we have spent a lot of time gutting and remodeling our home. It was perfect. Just us! I was totally surprised!
