The Orlando couple sought a venue that offered a beautiful blank slate for their 40-guest March celebration. Upon discovering Whitehurst Gallery, they knew it was the ideal setting for their minimalist vision, where their love and faith would be at the center of the experience.
“When choosing our wedding venue, we wanted a place that reflected our minimalistic yet elegant style while also allowing us to incorporate worship and praise seamlessly. It was important for the space to feel intimate and inviting, with enough room for our guests to enjoy the experience comfortably. We also looked for a venue that could accommodate our butler-served dining, a beautiful bar setup, and live music, including our DJ and violinist. Most importantly, we wanted a space where we could honor God and create a meaningful atmosphere for our ceremony and celebration,” the bride detailed. “We chose Whitehurst Gallery because it perfectly aligned with our vision. Julia and Zach personalized their nuptials by reflecting their shared faith, focusing on their guests’ experience, and incorporating an elegance-meets-minimalist style.
“What made our wedding unique was how deeply it reflected our faith, our style, and the experience we wanted to create for our guests. Worship and praise were at the heart of our celebration, setting a spiritual and joyful atmosphere that made the day feel so special,” Julia revealed. “Our minimalistic yet elegant approach, with butler-served dining and a beautifully designed bar, added a sophisticated touch while still keeping the focus on what mattered most.”
The bride and groom exchanged vows on the staircase of the property, flanked by impressive stone columns and a plethora of flowers. Following the ceremony, guests entered the gallery space for an elegant reception. Tables were dressed with classic white linens and surrounded by modern ghost chairs. Chic all-white floral centerpieces were accented with an abundance of candlelight for a truly romantic setting. And just when the setting couldn’t possibly feel more magical, a soft fog enveloped the floor during the first dance, giving the impression of walking on clouds.
A few core memories stood out to the couple, including a special first look, their first dance, and celebrating their mutual faith.
“There were so many beautiful moments on our wedding day, but a few truly stood out. After not seeing my father for over six years, the first look with him sparked an emotional and powerful moment. The first time hugging, holding, and laying eyes on each other was just moments before walking her down the aisle,” Julia reminisced. “The ceremony was the most meaningful part of the day. Standing together, making our vows before God, surrounded by our loved ones, was an unforgettable experience. It was a sacred and emotional moment that marked the beginning of our journey as husband and wife. And the worship before dinner was incredibly powerful. Seeing everyone come together in worship made the night even more meaningful. Also, our first dance was a magical moment just for us, where everything else faded away, and we could truly soak in the joy of being married. The music, the atmosphere, and the love in the room made it a memory we’ll cherish forever.”
